What you'll do
Instacart+ needs a marketer who can make the value of membership click, then prove the message gets more people to join and stay. This is a product marketing job with real influence over both the customer story and the product roadmap.
What the role really is
You own go-to-market for Instacart+, from how it stands apart in a crowded subscription market to how members experience its value over time. The work spans acquisition, retention, and launches, with customer insights feeding into what the product builds next.
What you'll do
- Shape Instacart+ positioning and messaging so customers understand why the membership is worth it.
- Find the moments when members feel the most value, then build lifecycle programs across email, push, in-app, and paid.
- Partner with growth and performance marketing to test messages that convert trial users and bring lapsed members back.
- Bring customer research and behavioral data into product roadmap discussions.
- Lead go-to-market plans for new features, from kickoff brief through channel strategy and post-launch review.
- Build a point of view on subscription and loyalty programs, and use it to guide partners and senior stakeholders.
What they want
- At least 8 years in marketing, including 4 or more years in product marketing. Consumer tech experience is strongly preferred.
- A track record owning go-to-market strategy for a subscription, membership, or loyalty program, with measurable results.
- A solid grasp of acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and churn, and how marketing can move each.
- The judgment to turn customer research, behavioral data, and competitive signals into clear positioning and messaging.
- Experience influencing product roadmaps with customer insight.
- Strong writing and speaking skills, including presenting strategy to VP and C-suite stakeholders.
- Experience working with growth, lifecycle or CRM, creative, and data science teams on multi-channel campaigns.
- Comfort using data and A/B tests to improve messaging.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Marketplace or two-sided platform experience, tiered benefits, partner integrations, member research, mentoring, or grocery and CPG retail experience are all useful additions.
Why it's interesting
Instacart+ sits at the center of the relationship with Instacart's most loyal customers. You get to work on the full membership journey, while bringing the member's voice into decisions about what the product becomes.
Salary
CAD $153,000 to $161,500 base pay.
