The Challenge

VulnCheck is redefining vulnerability intelligence for security teams. You'll own the entire demand generation engine for a high-growth cybersecurity startup—building campaigns that directly drive pipeline and revenue in a competitive, technical market.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit and optimize existing demand gen foundation; establish MQL/SQL criteria and attribution model in HubSpot/Salesforce

2

Launch 2-3 multi-channel campaigns (email, paid, content) aligned to ICP and measure lift in pipeline influenced

3

Build and operationalize nurture programs for at least 2 core segments across the lead lifecycle

4

Create campaign performance dashboard with weekly reporting on CPL, conversion rates, and pipeline impact

By 6 Months
1

Scale paid channels (LinkedIn, Google, retargeting) with test-and-learn playbook; hit CPL and pipeline ROI targets

2

Design and execute 1-2 ABM-style campaigns for enterprise prospects in collaboration with Sales

3

Establish repeatable launch playbook for product marketing campaigns with product launches

4

Deliver quarterly business review showing demand gen's revenue influence and recommend budget reallocation based on performance

KPIs You'll Own

Cost Per Lead (CPL)

Track paid channel efficiency and optimize spend allocation across LinkedIn, Google, and retargeting.

Pipeline Influenced / Generated

Measure total pipeline dollars directly attributed to or influenced by demand gen campaigns.

Lead-to-MQL Conversion Rate

Monitor quality of leads entering nurture streams and validate targeting and messaging alignment.

MQL-to-SQL Conversion Rate

Track nurture effectiveness and sales follow-up quality to identify gaps in process or messaging.

Campaign ROI

Calculate return on investment for each campaign by comparing pipeline value generated to total spend.

  • You've built and scaled B2B demand gen campaigns for technical products (cybersecurity, SaaS, dev tools, infrastructure)
  • You're deeply comfortable with the martech stack: HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, and newer tools like Clay and Common Room
  • You tie every campaign back to pipeline and revenue—data obsession is non-negotiable
  • You thrive in scrappy, ambiguous environments and move fast without waiting for perfect information
Won't Work If
  • You need hand-holding or rigid processes; this role demands strategic AND tactical hustle
  • You haven't worked in B2B or technical product marketing; the learning curve will slow you down
  • You view demand gen as 'just running ads'; you need to own strategy, execution, and ROI end-to-end

Walk through a demand gen campaign you built: strategy, channels, results, and what you'd do differently

Hands-on review of your HubSpot/Marketo/Salesforce skills and familiarity with attribution modeling

Leadership Conversation

Meet with CMO or VP to discuss scaling vision and how you'd partner across Product, Sales, and Content
