What you'll do

Origin & Story is a specialty coffee subscription that features a different world-class roaster every month. Subscribers get curated coffee, a documentary film about the roaster, brew guides shot on location, and grinder settings for every coffee. ~several hundred active subscribers with strong retention. The product works. Now we need to build the growth engine. We have a paid acquisition system currently managed by an external agency with 4-5 months left on contract. We need a founding team member to come in, learn the strategy and ad account during the transition, and own paid marketing and growth in-house. This is an equity-only role. No cash compensation. You'd receive real ownership in the company alongside the founding team. What you'd own: Shadow and learn our current paid strategy during a structured 4-5 month agency transition Take full ownership of Meta ad campaigns: strategy, creative briefs, targeting, budget, reporting Own CPA and ROAS targets Test and iterate on creative, audiences, and landing pages Build a paid growth playbook from what's working Brief our in-house creative team on ad assets (we produce cinematic content monthly) Expand into new channels as we grow (Google, TikTok, partnerships) Weekly performance reporting: CPA, ROAS, conversion, subscriber growth Work with our retention lead on full subscriber lifecycle and LTV What we're looking for: Hands-on Meta/Facebook ad management ($5K-$15K+ monthly spend) DTC subscription acquisition experience Comfortable in Ads Manager: campaign structure, audiences, pixel/CAPI, reporting A/B testing creative and copy Data-driven. You know what metrics matter and why. Shopify, Klaviyo, or similar ecommerce/email experience is a plus Subscription, CPG, food & beverage, or specialty retail background is a strong plus Why equity: We're a bootstrapped, pre-revenue-positive company building something real.
