What you'll do

LaunchDarkly needs someone who can make its company story consistent and hard to ignore. This is a senior communications role for a leader who knows how to shape the conversation around technical products.

What the role really is

You’ll turn company strategy into a clear market narrative, then carry that story across PR, analyst relations, social media, and executive communications. The job is to build influence with the people who shape how software gets built and delivered.

What you'll do (bullets)

  • Work with executives to put LaunchDarkly’s corporate narrative into action.
  • Build share of voice and thought leadership with developers, engineering leaders, technology executives, analysts, and industry influencers.
  • Keep messaging consistent across communications, product launches, thought leadership, analyst work, and executive visibility.
  • Create repeatable processes that align communications around one strategic story.
  • Spot emerging market conversations and find the right ways for LaunchDarkly to join them.
  • Lead and develop a three person team across PR, analyst relations, and social media.
  • Run thought leadership programs for the CEO, CTO, SVP of Product, and other key executives.
  • Find speaking, contributed content, and media opportunities that support LaunchDarkly’s market position.
  • Support analyst relationships with Gartner, Forrester, IDC, RedMonk, and other firms.
  • Track share of voice, analyst perception, executive visibility, and market influence, then use the findings to inform strategy.

What they want (bullets)

  • Typically, 15 or more years in corporate communications, product communications, corporate marketing, or a related leadership role at a high growth B2B software company.
  • At least five years of leadership experience.
  • A track record building integrated communications strategies that strengthen positioning, thought leadership, and executive visibility.
  • Experience leading teams across areas such as PR, analyst relations, executive communications, and social media.
  • A clear point of view on how B2B technology companies build influence beyond traditional PR.
  • Strong storytelling and executive communication skills, including the ability to make complex technical ideas clear and compelling.
  • Developer tools, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, AI platforms, or enterprise software experience is preferred.
  • Experience with category creation, market repositioning, or new product category launches is preferred.
  • Experience working closely with Product Marketing and executives on corporate positioning and thought leadership is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the US or Canada is required. Visa sponsorship and relocation are not available.
  • Expect 20% travel.

Why it's interesting

You’ll help shape how the market talks about software delivery, AI, and modern engineering, while building a unified communications strategy across several disciplines. LaunchDarkly’s platform helps developers release features faster, target customer experiences, and roll back changes when things go wrong.
