What you'll do

Our Mission

Everyone remembers the feeling of opening something they didn't expect to love at first but ended up wearing everyday. At IcyBox, we're building on that feeling and turning the thrill of the unknown into a business that scales. What started as a fast-moving watch commerce and mystery box company is becoming something bigger: a durable consumer brand that people trust, return to, and talk about. We move quickly, we sweat the details, and we're not afraid to build the plane while flying it. If you want to be close to the center of a company still writing its own playbook, this is that kind of place.

Our Values

Move Fast, Build Right: Speed matters, but so does the thing you're building. We'd rather ship today and fix tomorrow than sit on something perfect and late.

Own the Gap: When nobody owns it, that's exactly where we lean in. Ambiguity isn't an excuse to wait, it's an invitation to lead.

Clarity Is a Gift: Messy information helps no one. We turn noise into options, options into decisions, and decisions into action.

Trust Over Title: Influence here comes from follow-through, not org-chart position. The best ideas win regardless of who's in the room.

Say the Real Thing: Hard conversations happen early and directly, because that's what actually moves things forward.

Do the Unglamorous Work: From a schema migration to an on-call page to a leadership dashboard, no task is beneath getting the company where it needs to go.

The Role

IcyBox is looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to own the lifecycle marketing infrastructure that fuels a fast-moving, high-growth consumer business. This is a high-impact, execution-focused role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and knows how to build experimentation rigor and lifecycle systems across a complex, fast-changing organization. You'll be the connective tissue between product, engineering, and marketing, owning the journeys, tests, and incentive design that turn one-time purchasers into repeat users.

You'll help build the lifecycle foundation that lets IcyBox scale from a fast-moving watch commerce and mystery box business into a durable consumer brand. This role is ideal for someone who is analytically sharp, operationally strong, and energized by being close to the center of the business. You'll get exposure to strategic decisions, company-building problems, and cross-functional execution from day one, with the autonomy to identify what needs to happen and drive it forward yourself.

This is not a purely execution role. It's a builder/operator role for someone who can move from an experiment design to a CRM automation to a stakeholder readout without losing momentum. Some days you'll be building a new lifecycle journey. Some days you'll be debugging why an experiment's numbers look off. Some days you'll be building a system that makes the whole growth engine sharper every week after you're done.

What You'll Do

  • Own the lifecycle marketing strategy across the user journey, from first Icebox purchase through repeat engagement and win-back of lapsed users.
  • Define the channel mix across email, push, SMS, and in-app, with a clear prioritization framework for what to build and test next.

Build and manage an experimentation program covering acquisition, engagement, retention, and resurrection.

Apply behavioral science principles to message sequencing, timing, and incentive design, including drops, wallet credit offers, and referral incentives.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to unlock new lifecycle capabilities and influence the roadmap where existing tooling falls short.
  • Drive creative strategy for lifecycle channels, briefing and iterating on assets with designers and copywriters.
  • Own performance reporting for lifecycle channels, defining metrics, experiment setup, and results reporting for stakeholders.

Identify patterns in user behavior that inform which lifecycle moments matter most, from restock alerts to buyback conversion.

Serve as the connective tissue between raw user data and the rest of the company, surfacing what's working and what isn't.

Step into urgent or high-priority lifecycle issues when the owner is unclear, and create a path to resolution.

Create documentation, playbooks, and experiment logs that make repeatable work easier as IcyBox scales.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in growth or lifecycle marketing, ideally with startup or high-growth consumer app exposure.

A track record of building lifecycle programs and experimentation rigor in ambiguous, fast-moving environments without needing a detailed playbook.

Strong SQL skills and comfort pulling and validating your own data rather than waiting on a data partner for basic answers.

Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex experiment results into clear takeaways for non-specialists.

High ownership and strong follow-through: you're the person who makes sure a test actually gets read and acted on.

Low ego and strong relationship instincts. You influence through clarity, trust, and execution rather than title.

Strong systems thinking, building repeatable lifecycle infrastructure rather than one-off campaigns.

Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and the answer isn't always obvious.

Genuine curiosity about consumer brands, watches, marketplaces, and how a high-growth company actually drives repeat behavior.

Willingness to do both strategic and unglamorous work, from designing an experiment to fixing a broken trigger.

Nice to Have

Experience at a high-growth startup or consumer company.

Experience with e-commerce, marketplaces, mobile app analytics, or mystery box / randomized-value product economics.

Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms, and their data exports.

Experience designing incentive-based experiments using credits, discounts, or referral programs.

Why This Role Matters

IcyBox is moving quickly across product, marketing, operations, sourcing, fulfillment, and customer experience, and lifecycle is what turns a single purchase into a habit. The Growth Marketing Manager will help create the experimentation rigor and systems that let the team grow repeat usage without guessing at what works. This person will be trusted with high-priority work, exposed to the full business, and expected to make IcyBox's growth engine stronger every single week.

Compensation Range: $120K - $160K
