The Challenge
Google Maps Platform needs a growth leader to drive acquisition, activation, and expansion across a diverse ecosystem-agents, consumers, developers, enterprises. You'll own end-to-end strategy and rapid experimentation at scale, reporting directly to senior leadership at one of the world's largest tech platforms.
Your Mission
Map the current user journey across all geo-maker segments and identify top 3 acquisition bottlenecks via analytics + user research
Design and launch 5+ rapid A/B tests across in-product, email, and paid channels; establish testing cadence and win/loss criteria
Build cross-functional alignment with product, engineering, and brand teams; define shared growth metrics and OKRs for 6-month horizon
Audit and optimize existing marketing automation workflows; implement AI-powered personalization for at least 2 customer segments
Achieve 15%+ month-over-month growth in developer activation; document winning playbooks and scale via agencies/partners
Launch integrated campaign targeting 1-2 new geo-maker segments with full funnel optimization (awareness → conversion → retention)
Reduce customer acquisition cost by 20%+ through channel mix optimization and creative testing; maximize ROI per marketing dollar
Build proprietary growth model predicting cohort LTV and churn; use insights to inform product roadmap and retention experiments
KPIs You'll Own

% of new users converting from signup to first value-creating action, tracked separately for developers, enterprises, and consumers.
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
Cost per new customer acquired; tracked by channel and campaign to optimize spend allocation and creative performance.
Month-over-Month Growth Rate

Is This Role For You?
- You've driven growth in B2B SaaS or developer platforms and can speak the language of APIs, SDKs, and developer workflows
- You obsess over A/B testing, statistical rigor, and data-driven decision making; you measure everything and iterate fast
- You can manage complex cross-functional relationships and inspire vendors/agencies without direct authority
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and rapid pivots; you thrive in fast-moving, high-scale environments where markets shift quickly
- You understand how AI is reshaping marketing and are ready to leverage new tools to augment creative and personalization
- You need remote flexibility; this role is strictly on-site in Mountain View or New York-non-negotiable
- You prefer deep specialization in one discipline (e.g., paid media only); this role demands end-to-end ownership and cross-channel thinking
- You're uncomfortable with technical audiences or don't have experience marketing to developers; this will frustrate you daily
- You need a defined playbook and predictable processes; Google's scale and pace require entrepreneurial problem-solving and tolerance for ambiguity
