Your Mission
Map ICP deeply: Interview 20+ customers and prospects, build segmentation framework that informs all paid targeting
Audit and optimize paid spend: Review Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok accounts; establish baseline CAC and ROAS by channel
Set up influencer pipeline: Identify 15-20 qualified developer creators on X, YouTube, podcasts; negotiate first 3-5 partnerships
Launch newsletter sponsorship strategy: Vet 10 dev-focused newsletters, sponsor 2-3, establish tracking framework
Hit monthly CAC targets across all paid channels; document attribution model and where it breaks down
Scale top-performing paid channels by 2-3x; kill underperforming ones with clear kill-criteria framework
Build repeatable influencer playbook: 8+ active partnerships, documented SOPs, measured impact on pipeline
Improve full-funnel metrics: Work with product to instrument ad-to-landing page-to-product handoff; reduce bounce rate by 25%+

- You've run $5-6 figure/month paid budgets across multiple channels and can articulate CAC, ROAS, and attribution breakdowns
- You've managed agencies as a principal-written briefs, reviewed work, fired underperformers, and extracted great results
- You have developer tools or technical product marketing experience and understand why devs hate being marketed to
- You've shipped fast in a startup where you build, measure, and iterate without waiting on ops or design teams
- You have taste-you can instantly judge whether a landing page, ad, or piece of content will resonate
- You've only managed small ad spends or 'boosted a few posts'-this role requires fluency in real budget allocation
- You treat agencies as order-takers rather than partners you hold accountable for outcomes
- You're uncomfortable with developer audiences or haven't marketed to technical buyers; devs smell BS from a mile away
