What you'll do
If you know the early-stage startup world from the inside, this job puts you in the middle of it. You’ll help founders get more from Stripe, and turn what you hear from them into better programs and product decisions.
What the role really is
You own Stripe’s partnerships with Y Combinator and other accelerators. The work is part founder support, part relationship building, part building programs that make Stripe more useful to startups. You’ll also be the person bringing founder feedback and ecosystem signals back inside Stripe.
What you'll do
- Run Stripe’s Y Combinator and other accelerator partnerships.
- Work across Stripe to improve founders’ experience with the product.
- Build and run programs for founders, including new initiatives for the YC ecosystem.
- Be an escalation point for partners and top startups.
- Share product feedback with internal teams and help shape product and go-to-market strategy.
- Work with internal stakeholders on initiatives for startup founders.
- Gather ecosystem insights and prepare weekly and quarterly updates on business progress, market trends, and product feedback.
- Represent Stripe at startup events as a speaker.
- Use data skills such as SQL to build tools that help serve founders and measure impact.
- Build trusted relationships with venture capitalists.
What they want
- 7+ years of experience in the startup ecosystem, with startup or investing experience.
- Experience as a business or technical founder, and a strong interest in helping other founders.
- Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and the ability to build trusted relationships, especially in the YC community.
- A user-first mindset and high standards for the founder experience.
- Experience working across internal and external groups to launch programs.
- A builder’s instinct and the drive to start new initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Humility, initiative, and a willingness to handle the small stuff.
- Preferred: an active network in early-stage startups and venture capital, YC alumni experience, or experience speaking, presenting, or moderating.
- Preferred: understanding of technical buyers and when they make financial infrastructure decisions.
- Preferred: sales or channel partnership experience.
- Preferred: SQL or Python skills and interest in building tools and measuring impact.
Why it's interesting
You’re close to founders at the point when their companies are taking shape. If you like earning trust, spotting what founders need, and getting a new program off the ground, this role gives you room to do all three.
