The Challenge
The Knot Worldwide is building the data backbone for millions of celebrations globally. You'll own the complete MarTech data lifecycle-architecting scalable CDP/CRM infrastructure that connects raw behavioral data to marketing automation and drives measurable growth outcomes.
Your Mission
Map current CDP/CRM data flows and identify 2-3 high-impact pipeline gaps or quality issues impacting marketing execution
Design and document a scalable data model for audience creation and activation across CRM and downstream platforms
Establish data quality monitoring and SLAs for critical MarTech pipelines; reduce data latency or errors by 30%+
Onboard 1-2 new data sources into CDP; validate identity resolution and test activation to at least one external platform
Deliver end-to-end ETL/transformation layer connecting data warehouse to CDP with <4hr latency for behavioral events
Build 5+ high-performing audience segments in CRM; track lift on email engagement or conversion metrics tied to segment quality
Architect cross-platform data orchestration strategy; integrate CDP with 3+ downstream tools (email, analytics, ads platforms)
Mentor 1-2 junior engineers on SQL optimization, data modeling, and CDP operations; document best practices and runbooks
KPIs You'll Own
Pipeline SLA Uptime
Percentage of scheduled MarTech data pipelines executing on time with zero data quality failures.
Audience Activation Latency
Time from behavioral event ingestion to audience qualification and sync to CRM/downstream platforms.
Data Completeness & Accuracy
Row-level validation rate and duplicate/null metrics across CDP and CRM datasets.
Marketing ROI Lift from Data
Incremental revenue or engagement lift from new audience segments or data-driven campaigns vs. baseline.

Is This Role For You?
- You have 5+ years building or operating CDP/CRM data pipelines and feel comfortable owning the full stack from ingestion to activation
- You're fluent in SQL (Snowflake preferred) and Python; you ship iteratively and obsess over data quality
- You thrive in small, high-ownership teams; you mentor others and help establish best practices
- You enjoy bridging technical and marketing worlds-you speak both languages and can translate business goals into robust data architecture
- You need a fully remote setup-this role is on-site in Austin
- You prefer heads-down individual contribution over mentorship and team leadership
- You lack hands-on SQL/Python experience or have never worked directly with CDPs or marketing automation platforms
