What you'll do
CRM production is where a good customer journey either works or quietly breaks. Babylist needs someone who can make the whole system hold together, from audience logic to launch.
What the role really is
You’ll own the machinery behind Babylist’s CRM program. That means turning goals and rough targeting requests into journeys that are built correctly, reach the right people, and hold up across channels and systems.
This is a hands-on production role with real say in how the work gets done. You’ll set standards, fix what breaks, and shape how the program grows.
What you'll do
- Build and launch campaigns and automated journeys across email, push, SMS, in-app messaging, and emerging channels.
- Turn targeting requests into clear audience and segmentation logic.
- Build, sync, validate, and activate audiences from the CDP in downstream tools.
- Own production workflows across Iterable, Contentful, Cloudinary, Shopify, and Hightouch.
- Set the bar for QA, personalization, data integrity, compliance, and deployment.
- Maintain production playbooks and make sure the team uses them.
- Troubleshoot data syncs, journeys, campaigns, and deployments.
- Watch audience health and engagement signals, then adjust targeting, cadence, or frequency.
- Use product context and user behavior to shape targeting, journeys, and messages.
- Work with editorial on CRM content planning, production, and on-time delivery.
- Keep partners aligned, flag risks early, and use AI to improve speed and output quality.
What they want
- At least 5 years managing hands-on, multi-channel CRM production across email, push, SMS, and in-app messaging.
- Strong understanding of how ESPs and CDPs differ, and how audiences, data, content, and logic move between them.
- Working knowledge of CRM production platforms. Iterable, Contentful, Cloudinary, Shopify, and Hightouch experience is strongly preferred. Iterable, Braze, or Hightouch experience is a bonus.
- A firm grasp of email governance, compliance, and deliverability.
- Confidence working with engagement metrics, behavioral signals, audience health, and lifecycle data, then turning what you learn into action.
- Product marketing instincts. You should connect user behavior and product context to targeting and messaging.
- An operational problem solver who catches issues early, communicates clearly, and keeps work moving across teams.
- Care with details and time, especially when the pace picks up.
- A habit of using AI tools in daily workflows to work faster and improve the output.
Why it's interesting
You’ll own the infrastructure behind the CRM program, not just ship one campaign after another. The work spans strategy, systems, and execution, and you’ll have a hand in how journeys and workflows are built.
There’s room to shape how the function scales through automation, AI, and stronger production standards.
