Position Purpose:
The Marketing Manager is ahands-on marketing leader
responsible for bothsetting
marketing strategy and executing it
. This role requires an individual who can think strategically, communicate clearly, andpersonally deliver marketing work
, while also leveraging external vendors to scale efforts when needed. This is adoer–leader role
, not a purely oversight position.Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a clear marketing strategy aligned to company priorities, growth goals, and customer needs.
- Define messaging, positioning, and go-to-market approaches in partnership with Leadership.
- Identify priority audiences, channels, and campaigns based on business impact.
- Establish goals, metrics, and success criteria for marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Written communications – internal & external
- Sales and marketing collateral
- Company Presentations
- Support Trade Show planning and execution activities for assigned business units
- Digital and internal content
- Design compelling graphics, illustrations, and visual assets for digital and print materials.
- Own execution of campaigns from concept through delivery
- Draft, edit, and refine messaging to ensure clarity, consistency, and professionalism.
- Manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables to ensure work gets done—not just planned.
- Oversee social media strategy, content creation, and scheduling across platforms.
- Serve as a strong written and verbal communicator across the organization.
- Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling messages for varied audiences.
- Partner closely with the commercial team and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and usability of marketing outputs.
- Proactively communicate priorities, progress, and outcomes
- Proven intercultural communication experience, ideally in an internationally operating organization.
- Select, manage, and collaborate with external marketing vendors (agencies, designers, freelancers, etc.)
- Provide clear direction and expectations to vendors.
- Review and refine vendor output to ensure it meets internal standards and strategic intent.
- Maintain ownership and accountability for final deliverables—vendor support does not replace hands-on involvement.
- Work with partners to update, and optimize the company website, ensuring SEO best practices are applied.
- Responsible for following all Vaupell policies and standard operating procedures and safety practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations)
- Demonstrated experience in both marketing strategy and hands-on execution.
- Strong content creation and editing skills.
- Prefer graphic design skills with proficiency such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or InDesign.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work independently.
- Experience working with external vendors while retaining ownership of outcomes.
- Clear, confident communication skills across levels of the organization
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing or Business Administration or Communications or Advertising

.- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer workstation.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling standard office equipment (keyboard, mouse, phone, documents)

- Ability to see, read, and interpret information on screens, printed materials, and presentations.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching in an office environment.
- Ability to lift and carry light materials (generally up to 15–20 lbs.), such as marketing materials, files, or presentation equipment.
- Ability to attend meetings and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, which will include travel up to 20% of the time.
