The Challenge

Paula's Choice is transforming social from a content machine into a culture-shaping, brand-building engine. You'll lead creative vision globally, reporting directly to leadership, with a mandate to drive both immediate engagement and long-term brand equity in a 30-year-old DTC skincare powerhouse.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current social creative output across all platforms and establish a distinctive visual/tonal identity that reflects Paula's Choice values while standing out in Beauty

Map the team structure, hiring gaps, and creative workflows to identify quick wins and strategic improvements

3

Launch 2-3 hero campaigns (product launch, brand moment, or cultural moment) that demonstrate your creative leadership and measure impact on engagement, brand sentiment, and conversion lift

4

Define clear social KPIs, benchmarks, and monthly/quarterly reporting cadence aligned to business objectives (acquisition, retention, advocacy)

By 6 Months

Build and onboard a high-performing creative team (designers, videographers, copywriters, strategists) with clear role definitions and growth paths

Establish a scalable content production system that balances brand-building storytelling with performance content, reducing time-to-publish by 30%

Drive measurable impact: 25%+ increase in engagement rate, 15%+ lift in brand sentiment tracking, and 10%+ contribution to social-driven revenue

Create a cross-functional partnership model with Brand, Product, PR, and Performance Marketing to ensure social is a strategic priority in all major initiatives

Measure creative resonance and community interaction across all platforms normalized by follower growth.

Brand Sentiment & Cultural Relevance

Track qualitative perception shifts and share-of-voice in skincare/beauty conversations via social listening.

Social-Driven Conversion & Revenue Attribution

Measure direct revenue impact from social campaigns, including CAC, ROAS, and repeat purchase rate from social audiences.

Follower Growth & Audience Quality

Monitor follower growth rate, audience demographics, and follower-to-customer conversion velocity by cohort.

Content Production Efficiency

Track posts per week, cost per content piece, and time-to-publish to measure operational scalability.
