The Challenge

Brisk Teaching has 2M+ teachers on platform with massive product-market fit. You're their first dedicated growth hire-owning the entire teacher acquisition, activation, and retention engine from scratch with founder-level autonomy.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Map teacher discovery & activation journey end-to-end; identify top 3 high-leverage growth levers with data

Design and ship 4-6 growth experiments (acquisition campaigns, onboarding flows, referral mechanics) and measure impact

Build growth dashboard tracking funnel metrics (discovery → activation → retention); establish baseline KPIs

Partner with Product & Marketing to align seasonal plays around back-to-school; lock in Q1 campaign calendar

By 6 Months

Increase teacher activation rate by 15-25% through optimized onboarding and early-use moments

Launch and scale 2-3 viral/referral mechanics; track teacher-to-teacher sharing as % of new signups

Reduce teacher churn in months 1-3 by 20%+ through retention-focused interventions and re-engagement campaigns

Own growth roadmap with clear quarterly bets; report on growth efficiency metrics (CAC, LTV, payback period)

Monthly Active Teachers

Count of unique teachers logging in and using Brisk features each month; tracks retention and engagement momentum

Cost Per Activated Teacher

Total growth spend / activated teachers; measures acquisition efficiency relative to product quality

Teacher Referral Rate

% of active teachers who refer a colleague to Brisk; indicates product-led growth potential and satisfaction

Retention Cohort Curves

Week-over-week and month-over-month retention rates by cohort; identifies where teachers churn and why

Growth Experiment Velocity

Number of high-confidence experiments shipped per month with clear statistical significance

  • You've shipped growth experiments and can read data to make decisions, not just report metrics
  • You obsess over distribution mechanics and user psychology-you understand how teachers discover and share tools
  • You're scrappy enough to vibe-code a landing page when the idea can't wait, but mature enough to bring teams along to scale
  • You've worked B2C or education/community products and know how to build growth systems for real human behavior (not generic SaaS playbooks)
  • You want founder-level scope and the autonomy to set your own agenda-this is an individual contributor role with strategic weight
Won't Work If
  • You need a large marketing team to execute ideas; this is an IC role with close partnerships but you own the outcome
  • You're uncomfortable with ambiguity or prefer structured, pre-defined roadmaps; you'll need to find the leverage yourself
  • You haven't built and shipped real growth experiments with statistical rigor; this role requires hands-on execution and data literacy
