The Challenge

Bold Orange is a customer experience powerhouse that builds authentic connections across the entire customer lifecycle. You'll be the technical backbone of their Salesforce practice, architecting complex Marketing Cloud solutions that drive real business outcomes for enterprise clients.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Master Bold Orange's Salesforce Marketing Cloud stack and delivery methodology; complete internal onboarding and certification reviews

2

Own 2-3 client implementations end-to-end: configure Email Studio, Journey Builder, and CDP components; deliver working solutions

3

Build 5+ complex audience segments using SQL and AMPScript across multiple data sources; document logic for stakeholder review

4

Establish QA standards and testing protocols; catch and prevent 100% of critical bugs before client deployment

By 6 Months
1

Lead discovery and technical feasibility assessments for 8+ new client projects; advise architects on scope and effort estimates

2

Develop 3+ integration solutions connecting Marketing Cloud to external systems (CRM, analytics, data warehouses)

3

Mentor junior developers on AMPScript, SQL, and JSON best practices; build internal knowledge base and solution templates

4

Identify and deploy 10+ optimization opportunities across active campaigns; track lift in deliverability, engagement, and conversion metrics

KPIs You'll Own

Client Implementation On-Time, On-Budget Rate

Track % of projects delivered within estimated timeline and budget; target 95%+ success rate.

Campaign Deliverability & Inbox Placement

Monitor sender reputation, bounce rates, and spam complaints across deployed Marketing Cloud instances; maintain 98%+ deliverability.

Code Quality & QA Bug Escape Rate

Measure % of bugs caught in testing vs. production; aim for zero critical issues reaching clients post-launch.

Client Satisfaction & Net Promoter Score

Gather feedback from Solution Architects and clients on technical execution, documentation, and support; target NPS 50+.

  • You've shipped 3+ Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations and can architect complex journeys from scratch
  • You write clean AMPScript and SQL without flinching; you debug code, not just copy-paste templates

  • You enjoy translating technical details for non-technical stakeholders; you're part engineer, part teacher

  • You lack Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification or 3+ years hands-on platform experience
