We are seeking a

Director of Salesforce (Nonprofit CRM & Data Strategy)

to design, build, and scale the system that powers how we operate, track impact, and make decisions.

Because when data is structured —

everything becomes clearer, faster, and stronger.

The Role

This is the leader responsible for

owning and scaling our Salesforce ecosystem

.

From CRM strategy → data architecture → system configuration → reporting → adoption — you own it.

You are not just managing a platform.

You are building the

central source of truth for the organization

This role operates at the intersection of

technology, operations, and strategy

, ensuring Salesforce supports every part of the organization effectively.

What You’ll Own

Salesforce Strategy & Vision

    • Define and execute the Salesforce strategy for the organization
    • Align CRM capabilities with
    • Programs
    • Operations
    • Fundraising (future state)
    • Build a scalable, long-term CRM roadmap
CRM Architecture & System Design

    • Design and manage Salesforce data structure
    • Objects
    • Fields
    • Relationships
    • Ensure system is scalable, clean, and well-structured
    • Maintain data integrity and usability
Salesforce Configuration & Optimization

    • Configure and optimize Salesforce
    • Workflows
    • Automations
    • User permissions
    • Improve system functionality and efficiency
    • Ensure platform performance and reliability
Data Strategy & Governance

    • Establish data standards and governance practices
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
    • Define processes for
    • Data entry
    • Data maintenance
    • Data quality control
Reporting, Dashboards & Insights

    • Build reports and dashboards to
    • Track performance
    • Measure impact
    • Support decision-making
    • Translate data into actionable insights for leadership
User Experience & Adoption

    • Ensure Salesforce is easy to use across teams
    • Support user training and onboarding
    • Drive adoption and consistent usage
Integration & System Alignment

    • Integrate Salesforce with
    • Other internal systems
    • External tools (as needed)
    • Ensure seamless data flow across platforms
Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with
    • HR
    • Operations
    • Programs
    • Technology teams
    • Ensure CRM supports all organizational functions
Data Security & Access Management

    • Define user roles and permissions
    • Ensure proper access controls
    • Maintain data security and privacy
Continuous Improvement & Innovation

    • Identify opportunities to improve CRM capabilities
    • Implement enhancements and new features
    • Scale the system as the organization grows
Who This Is For

This role is for someone who

    • Thinks in systems, data, and structure
    • Has strong experience with Salesforce (ideally nonprofit use)
    • Can translate business needs into technical solutions
    • Is both strategic and hands-on
    • Wants to build a system that drives real impact
Qualifications

Required

    • 3–5+ years of experience with Salesforce (administration, configuration, or architecture)
    • Experience designing or managing CRM systems
    • Strong understanding of
    • Data structure and management
    • Reporting and dashboards
Preferred

    • Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
    • Salesforce certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin, etc.)
    • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
    • Experience integrating systems and automations
Commitment

    • 12–20 hours per week
    • Leadership-level engagement
    • Fully remote
