What you'll do

Accountabilities:

  • Build and own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing system, including behavioral email flows, automation logic, and retention infrastructure across the customer journey from signup to expansion.

  • Design and optimize upsell and conversion journeys, including trigger-based sequences, segmentation models, and A/B testing frameworks to improve free-to-paid conversion rates.

  • Develop retention and churn reduction programs, including satisfaction scoring models, NPS workflows, win-back campaigns, and churn prediction segmentation.

  • Define and implement lifecycle infrastructure, including ESP selection, event tracking requirements, data pipelines, and integration with product and engineering systems.

  • Establish reporting dashboards and performance tracking systems to monitor retention health, engagement, and lifecycle KPIs.

  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate behavioral signals into scalable lifecycle automation and user journey logic.

Requirements:

  • 4-6+ years of experience in Lifecycle Marketing, CRM, Retention Marketing, or Marketing Automation within SaaS, subscription, freemium, or PLG environments.

  • Hands-on experience with lifecycle and automation tools such as Customer.io, Klaviyo, Braze, HubSpot, or Iterable.

  • Strong understanding of event-based tracking, behavioral triggers, and user lifecycle segmentation.

  • Proven ability to improve key product metrics such as activation, retention, re-engagement, churn reduction, and conversion.

  • Experience working closely with product and engineering teams on data, tracking, and product analytics tools (e.g., Segment, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or PostHog).

  • Strong analytical mindset combined with the ability to craft effective lifecycle messaging and automation strategies.

  • Strong plus: experience in PLG or freemium models, building lifecycle systems from scratch, NPS frameworks, or exposure to AI, EdTech, or consumer SaaS products.
