The Challenge
Thales is a €4B R&D-investing defense & aerospace giant with 81k employees across 68 countries. You'll build internal community and visibility for an engineering transformation at their La Ferté-Saint-Aubin site—a 450-person hub producing cutting-edge weapons systems and tactical vehicles.
Your Mission
Launch and establish baseline metrics for 2-3 internal social channels (Teams, Intranet, LinkedIn employee advocacy)
Create and publish 8-12 pieces of content (articles, videos, employee testimonials) showcasing engineering projects and team expertise
Map internal stakeholders, document communication workflows, and establish content calendar process
Plan and execute first internal event or workshop to test engagement and gather feedback
Achieve 40%+ engagement rate increase on internal comms channels versus baseline
Build and launch centralized information hub/site consolidating team resources, projects, and updates
Coordinate 2-3 larger internal events or awareness campaigns with measurable attendance and sentiment
Document best practices, create content templates, and hand off sustainable communication processes
KPIs You'll Own
Content Engagement Rate
Measure likes, comments, shares, and click-through rates across internal platforms to track resonance.
Internal Channel Growth
Track follower/subscriber growth on Teams, intranet, or internal LinkedIn presence month-over-month.
Event Attendance & Sentiment
Monitor turnout, post-event surveys, and sentiment to validate internal communication effectiveness.
Content Output Velocity
Track number and type of assets produced (articles, videos, testimonials, visuals) against monthly targets.

Is This Role For You?
- You're enrolled in a Bac+3 to Bac+5 program in communication, digital marketing, or equivalent and seeking a 12-24 month alternance
- You're comfortable creating and managing multi-format content (articles, visuals, videos, testimonials) on tight deadlines
- You thrive coordinating with diverse stakeholders across an organization and translating their stories into engaging content
- You're genuinely curious about defense, aerospace, or engineering—and can communicate technical expertise to internal audiences
- You need remote flexibility—this is 100% on-site in rural France with limited flexibility
- You're uncomfortable working on defense/weapons systems projects or have ethical concerns about the industry
- You expect high autonomy immediately—alternance roles are structured with heavy mentorship and oversight

Initial Screening

Phone/Video Interview
30-45 min conversation about your communication background, content creation experience, and interest in Thales
Case Study or Content Brief
You may be asked to create a sample piece of content (social post, article outline, or visual concept) for the engineering team
Final Interview with Hiring Manager
Deep dive on communication strategy, your ideas for the role, and fit with Thales culture and site dynamics
