Sensewaves is disrupting energy distribution with AI-powered grid analytics—they just won SEPA's Emerging Tech award. You'll build their go-to-market engine from director level, positioning cutting-edge software to utilities globally.
Your Mission
Audit current positioning, messaging, and competitive landscape; define refined value prop and messaging framework
Establish demand gen baseline; launch first integrated campaign (content + paid + email) targeting utility decision-makers
Map and optimize marketing tech stack (HubSpot, analytics, attribution); document lead flow and sales handoff process
Build and align marketing roadmap with sales and product leadership; define quarterly KPI targets
Drive qualified pipeline growth; achieve 40%+ increase in MQL volume and improve conversion rates by 25%+
Establish thought leadership; publish 3+ high-impact assets (whitepapers, case studies) and secure 2-3 speaking slots at industry events
Scale paid digital campaigns (SEM, LinkedIn, display) to predictable CAC; optimize for 3:1 LTV:CAC minimum
Build repeatable content engine and nurture sequences; mature marketing automation workflows across buyer journey
KPIs You'll Own
Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL)
Track volume and quality of leads entering sales pipeline weekly; target 40%+ growth in 6 months.
Cost Per Acquisition (CAC)
Monitor blended CAC across all channels; optimize for payback within 12 months.
Pipeline Contribution
Measure % of revenue pipeline attributed to marketing campaigns and activities.
Content Engagement
Track downloads, views, shares on whitepapers, case studies, webinars; benchmark against industry.
Email Performance
Monitor open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates for nurture sequences; target >30% CTR.

- You've led B2B SaaS or enterprise software marketing; comfortable translating complex technical value props for C-suite buyers
- You're data-obsessed: you build dashboards, test assumptions, optimize funnels. Gut-feel marketing isn't your style.
- You thrive in ambiguity and have scrappiness to build programs from scratch without massive budgets
- You're energized by the energy transition and AI/cleantech space; you can speak credibly about grid modernization and utilities
- You excel at cross-functional collaboration; you see yourself as a growth leader, not just a marketer
- You need remote work; this role is on-site in Paris only
- You're looking for a pure content or brand role; this is a P&L-accountable, revenue-focused director position
- You lack B2B SaaS or enterprise marketing experience; early-stage B2B2C or consumer marketing won't translate well
