The Challenge
MWM is a billion-download mobile app publisher looking for a Video Marketing Artist who can produce high-converting short-form ads at the speed of culture. You'll reverse-engineer viral hooks, leverage AI to scale creative output, and directly impact UA metrics across TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Your Mission
Ship 15-20 high-performing video ad variations per week, testing hooks and optimizing for 3-second retention across platforms
Establish baseline performance benchmarks for CTR, CPI, and retention metrics for your creatives against competitor benchmarks
Build an internal creative library of winning templates, AI workflows, and trend-scouting insights shared with Growth team
Master MWM's native social codes and app feature narratives to consistently translate marketing briefs into stopping-power visuals
Achieve 25+ video variations weekly with measurable improvements in CTR and CPI through iterative hook testing
Become the internal expert on AI video/audio tools (ElevenLabs, Sora, HeyGen, Veo3) and integrate them into production workflow
Reduce average video production time by 40% through AI-assisted ideation, scripting, and asset generation
Drive month-over-month improvements in 3-second retention rates and ROAS by identifying winning pacing, sound design, and visual trends

Click-Through Rate (CTR)
Percentage of users who click your ad—your primary measure of hook effectiveness and stopping power.
Cost Per Install (CPI)
Direct measure of UA efficiency; lower CPI means your creative is pulling harder for the same ad spend.
3-Second Retention
Percentage of viewers who watch past the first 3 seconds—the ultimate test of hook strength in short-form video.
Video Production Velocity
Number of high-quality variations shipped per week; AI integration should directly increase this metric.
Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
Revenue generated per dollar spent on ads using your creatives; tracks real business impact of your work.
