The Challenge
Faire is a two-sided marketplace connecting retailers with suppliers. You'll own the paid social and retargeting engine—scaling acquisition and retention while running constant AI-powered experiments to unlock new growth channels.
Your Mission
Audit and optimize existing Meta and paid social campaigns; identify 3-5 quick-win optimization opportunities (creative, bidding, landing pages) to hit weekly KPI targets
Map current retargeting workflow and implement AI/automation tooling (Smartly, Hunch, or Omneky) to reduce manual QA and bulk change time by 30%+
Launch 2-3 high-impact pilot growth tests (new channels, audiences, or creative formats) with minimal engineering lift using automation workflows
Build weekly performance dashboard tracking CPM, CTR, CVR, and retention metrics across all paid social channels; present insights to cross-functional partners
Scale retargeting program to drive measurable lift in repeat retailer purchases; achieve 15%+ efficiency improvement vs. baseline while maintaining LTV/CAC targets
Run incremental testing framework on 4+ major campaign levers; document learnings and apply winning variants across evergreen programs
Establish AI-powered creative testing workflow; reduce time-to-launch for new creatives by 40% and increase creative velocity by 2x
Lead 2-3 cross-functional projects (tracking fixes, landing page optimization, marketplace-specific growth strategies); document playbooks for team reuse
KPIs You'll Own
CPM (Cost Per Mille)
Track cost efficiency of paid media across channels; optimize creative, audience, and bidding to lower CPM while maintaining quality.
Conversion Rate (CVR)
Measure % of clicks converting to desired action (sign-up, purchase); test landing pages, offers, and creative messaging to lift CVR.
Click-Through Rate (CTR)
Monitor ad engagement; A/B test creative, copy, and audiences to drive higher CTR and lower funnel waste.
Repeat Purchase Rate & Retention
Core metric for retargeting; measure % of past buyers re-engaging and completing repeat purchases; optimize messaging and frequency.
Cost Per Acquisition (CPA)
Track true acquisition cost by channel and campaign; ensure efficiency targets are met while scaling volume.
Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
Measure revenue generated per dollar spent on paid social; benchmark against targets and optimize toward profitability.

Culture

Is This Role For You?
- You've managed $500K+ in annual paid social budgets on Meta with hands-on optimization experience—you know when to adjust bids, pause audiences, and refresh creatives
- You're fluent in paid marketing metrics (CPM, CTR, CVR, ROAS) and can quickly diagnose campaign underperformance with Excel or SQL
- You're actively using AI tools (Omneky, Hunch, ChatGPT) to automate QA, creative testing, and reporting—and you're eager to find new workflow automation wins
- You thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where you're expected to ship pilots with minimal hand-holding and learn by doing
- You have B2B, SMB, marketplace, or retargeting experience and understand the nuances of repeat customer acquisition and retention
- You need a remote-first setup or are location-constrained outside the Bay Area; this role is on-site in San Francisco
- You prefer stable, repeatable processes over constant experimentation and iteration; Faire runs dozens of pilots and expects you to move fast
- You're not comfortable diving into SQL queries or building your own dashboards in Tableau/Mode; self-service analytics is core to this role
