The Challenge

Grant Cardone Enterprises is scaling their customer retention machine. You'll own the entire lifecycle marketing strategy—from segmentation to automation to LTV optimization—leading a small team and directly impacting revenue through smarter, data-driven customer journeys.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current CRM architecture, segmentation logic, and automation workflows in HubSpot; identify quick wins for engagement lift

Build and document lifecycle marketing playbook covering onboarding, nurture, retention, and reactivation sequences

3

Establish baseline LTV, retention, and email/SMS performance dashboards with clear KPI targets for leadership

4

Onboard and structure team of 2-3 marketers with clear ownership of campaigns, testing, and reporting

By 6 Months
1

Launch 3-4 new automated lifecycle programs (abandoned cart, win-back, VIP nurture) yielding 15%+ lift in retention metrics

Implement rigorous A/B testing framework across subject lines, send times, creative, and cadence; document learnings in playbook

Increase email list engagement (open rate, click rate) by 20%+ through advanced segmentation and personalization

Present quarterly business review to leadership showing LTV growth, cohort performance, and ROI on lifecycle initiatives

Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)

Total predicted revenue per customer across entire relationship; track by cohort and acquisition channel.

Email/SMS Open & Click Rates

Engagement velocity across all lifecycle programs; benchmark against industry and test improvements via A/B testing.

Retention Rate (by cohort)

Percentage of customers retained over time (30/60/90 day windows); primary lever for LTV growth.

Revenue per Email/SMS Sent

Direct revenue attribution from lifecycle campaigns; measure ROI and optimize send frequency and audience selection.

Automation Trigger Performance

Conversion rate, revenue, and engagement for each automated journey; iteratively optimize entry conditions and messaging.

List Health (Deliverability)

Bounce rate, unsubscribe rate, spam complaints; maintain <0.3% bounce, >98% inbox placement.
