The Challenge

VML (WPP's creative powerhouse) is hunting a video creator with a distinctive voice to build TikTok/Reels/Shorts content for one of America's most iconic pizza brands. You'll own the full creative lifecycle—from concept to final cut—working with a team that actually knows how to be funny and human.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Establish signature visual and tonal style for pizza brand's social channels across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts

2

Produce and publish 12-16 on-brand short-form videos with documented engagement benchmarks (views, saves, shares)

3

Develop 4-5 concept decks with scripts, storyboards, and moodboards that get approved by stakeholders

Collaborate with social strategy and creative teams to identify 3-4 trending formats that fit brand voice

By 6 Months
1

Achieve consistent video output of 20-24 pieces/quarter with measurable growth in audience engagement YoY

Build replicable production workflow that balances lo-fi authenticity with professional polish

Generate 2-3 viral-performing pieces (trending on platform algorithms) with post-mortems documented

4

Mentor or collaborate with 1-2 junior creators/producers on VML's social team

  • You've built a recognizable creator brand on TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts with a distinct visual/tonal voice
  • You obsess over food, pizza, pop culture, sports, or music and can authentically create around those worlds
  • You can operate end-to-end: concepting, shooting, editing, and ideally appearing on camera or providing VO
  • You've got pro-consumer production chops (lighting, editing software) but lean into authentic, lo-fi aesthetics over corporate polish
  • You thrive collaborating with strategy and creative teams in a fast-paced agency environment
Won't Work If
  • You're purely a behind-the-scenes editor with no creative direction or ideation skills—this role owns concepts from day one
  • You need full remote work or flexibility; this is on-site Austin/Dallas only
  • You have no documented creator portfolio or social following to prove you've built an audience; talk is cheap here

Interview Process

Portfolio Review

Submit your best short-form video work (TikTok, Reels, Shorts), ideally consumer-facing brand work or personal creator content

Creative Brief / Concept Test

Likely asked to concept 2-3 video ideas for a food/pizza brand and present rough storyboard or moodboard

Technical Assessment

Discussion of production workflow, editing software proficiency, and your approach to balancing quality with speed

4

Team Meeting

Interview with social strategy lead and creative team to assess culture fit and collaboration style
