The Challenge
Molex is expanding its Optical Solutions Business Unit and needs a strategic visionary to define market dominance across Telecom, Datacom, and Medical segments. You'll shape the competitive positioning and growth trajectory for a critical connectivity business in a rapidly evolving market.
Your Mission
Audit current market positioning and competitive landscape; deliver POV framework across Telecom, Datacom, Medical verticals
Map TAM/SAM/SOM with data-backed market segmentation; identify top 3 high-growth adjacencies
Align product roadmap priorities with cross-functional leaders (PLM, R&D, Marketing); establish decision framework
Build customer profitability segmentation model to identify where Molex wins and why
Execute go-to-market strategy refresh with pricing architecture aligned to value drivers
Lead M&A/partnership assessment for 2-3 strategic inorganic growth opportunities
Establish marketing ROI dashboard tracking demand generation, brand, thought leadership performance
Deliver portfolio lifecycle insights and roadmap recommendations informed by adoption trends and win/loss analysis

Win rate lift and ASP improvement from value-based pricing implementation and sales enablement.

Strategic Initiative Velocity
On-time delivery of market assessments, business cases, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Customer Profitability Mix
Shift in revenue mix toward high-margin segments via improved segmentation and account strategy.
