The Challenge
Assembly is hiring their first Growth & GTM Engineer to own the full funnel-from product-led features to AI-powered outbound automation. You'll report directly to the CEO, code prototypes, and operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and marketing.
Your Mission
Ship and iterate on core onboarding flow; measure DAU/activation rate improvements
Set up lead scraping pipeline and first outbound sequence using Clay.io or 11x
Run 3-5 A/B tests on critical funnel moments; document learnings and winners
Establish growth metrics dashboard and weekly reporting cadence with founders
Build and optimize referral loop; track viral coefficient and NPS impact
Automate GTM stack: integrate 3+ tools (CRM, email, AI agents) into cohesive workflow
Drive measurable revenue impact: 25%+ lift in conversion rate or CAC reduction
Create repeatable playbook for rapid experimentation; document 10+ validated growth tactics

Activation Rate
% of new users completing onboarding and taking key action within first week.
CAC & LTV
Customer acquisition cost vs. lifetime value ratio; target improving by 30%+ in 6 months.
Funnel Conversion Rate
Track top-of-funnel to paying customer; A/B test iterations should move this metric weekly.
Viral Coefficient
How many new users each customer refers; indicates product-market fit strength.
Outbound Reply Rate
% of automated/AI-powered outbound sequences that get responses; target >15%.
