The Challenge

Afya is transforming healthcare by building digital solutions for doctors. You'll own the analytics infrastructure for a high-growth medical platform, turning raw data into the insights that drive acquisition, activation, and retention across their physician-focused products.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit and document current tracking setup across GA4, UTMs, and event structure; identify data quality gaps costing the team blind spots

2

Build 3-4 executive dashboards covering acquisition funnel, cohort retention, and churn by physician segment in PowerBI

3

Conduct first cohort analysis on physician activation to isolate the behaviors that predict long-term engagement and retention

4

Partner with Product and Engineering to design multi-touch attribution model requirements and data governance standards

By 6 Months
1

Launch and own multi-touch attribution model tracking acquisition→activation→engagement→monetization journey

Reduce time-to-insight by 40% through automated reporting and self-service dashboards for growth team

Establish data quality SLAs with central Data team; document metric definitions to eliminate definition drift across BU

4

Run and analyze 5+ A/B tests supporting product roadmap priorities; own clean statistical read-outs and guardrail monitoring

% of new doctor signups completing key onboarding milestones within 14 days post-signup.

Monthly Churn Rate

% of active physicians disengaging month-over-month, tracked by product segment and cohort.

Unit Economics (CAC:LTV Ratio)

Customer acquisition cost vs. lifetime value by acquisition channel to optimize spend allocation.

Funnel Conversion Metrics

Drop-off rates at each step (signup → first login → first transaction) to identify friction points.

Dashboard SLA Adherence

% of automated reports delivered on-time with zero data quality issues.

  • You care about data quality and governance; you'll push back on sloppy tracking because you know bad data = bad decisions

  • You want a pure analytics engineering role focused only on ETL/pipeline work—this is analytics driving business strategy
  • You need a fully remote setup; this role requires hybrid presence in São Paulo or Rio
  • You're uncomfortable with ambiguity—you'll inherit messy tracking and need to design the solution with stakeholders

Interview Process

Initial screening

Discussion of growth analytics background, tools experience (GA4, PowerBI, SQL), and a real scenario from your work

Take-home case study

Analyze sample dataset (physician signup → activation → retention); build a simple dashboard mockup and recommend next-step analyses

Cross-functional panel

Meet with Growth Lead, Product Manager, and Data team lead; discuss how you'd approach the multi-touch attribution rebuild and stakeholder management

Final conversation

Closing call with hiring manager on team vision, your growth trajectory, and logistics
