The Challenge

Lema.AI is a well-funded cybersecurity startup redefining third-party risk management for enterprises. They're already revenue-generating with Fortune 500 customers, and they need a demand gen leader who thinks like a creative director-someone who can build campaigns from scratch, not just execute briefs.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current demand gen channels (paid, organic, events, social) and develop a unified strategy aligned with CISO/GRC buyer priorities

Launch first founder thought leadership campaign across LinkedIn and contributed articles, establishing Lema's POV in the TPRM space

3

Set up end-to-end analytics framework tracking campaign performance to pipeline (not just vanity metrics), with weekly reporting to VP Marketing

4

Execute 2-3 paid campaigns targeting security and GRC leaders, establishing baseline CAC and pipeline contribution

By 6 Months
1

Scale founder/brand thought leadership into a recurring cadence (1-2 pieces monthly) that drives measurable engagement and brand lift among target buyers

Achieve top 3 organic ranking for 5-10 high-intent keywords in TPRM and vendor risk space

Own full event strategy including 2 conference activations and 1 proprietary webinar series, each with clear pipeline metrics

Build and report on quarterly demand gen dashboard showing cost per pipeline stage, campaign efficiency, and ROI by channel

How much you're spending to move prospects from awareness to MQL to SQL, ensuring efficiency across channels.

Track impressions, clicks, and position for high-intent keywords targeting CISOs and GRC leaders.

Thought leadership engagement rate

Reach, engagement, and click-through rate on founder/brand content across LinkedIn, articles, and podcasts.

Event pipeline contribution

Opportunities and revenue generated from field events, conferences, and webinars as a percentage of total pipeline.

  • You've built campaigns from scratch-not just inherited playbooks-and can prove the pipeline impact with real numbers
  • You're strong across paid, organic, and events and can own the full funnel without being a specialist in only one channel
  • You have experience with executive/founder thought leadership and can translate complex security concepts into compelling narratives for CISOs
  • You're comfortable in fast-moving startups where you figure things out autonomously and have real input on how the brand shows up
Won't Work If
  • You need heavy process, detailed briefs, and clear guardrails-Lema wants someone who sees a blank slate as exciting
  • You're a specialist in only one channel (e.g., only paid) and uncomfortable owning SEO, events, or social simultaneously
  • You don't care about pipeline metrics-this role lives and dies by proving demand gen impact to revenue, not vanity metrics
