Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media marketing strategies tailored to the cannabis industry, ensuring alignment with brand goals and compliance standards.
- Create engaging, high-quality content including graphics, videos, photography, and written posts using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Manage daily social media activities across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn using applications like Hootsuite and Buffer to schedule posts and monitor engagement.
- Conduct social listening to track brand sentiment, industry trends, and competitor activity; utilize insights to refine content strategies.
- Implement SEO best practices and keyword research to optimize content discoverability across digital channels.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns on Facebook Advertising and other platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
- Build and nurture relationships with influencers, media outlets, and community partners through effective public relations efforts.
- Analyze web analytics with Google Analytics and web analytics tools to measure campaign performance; prepare reports for continuous improvement.
- Oversee branding initiatives ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints; coordinate with graphic designers for visual assets.
- Respond promptly to community interactions, fostering positive relationships while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in social media management within the cannabis or related industries is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in social media management tools such as Hootsuite and Buffer; experience with scheduling, monitoring, and reporting functionalities.
- Demonstrated ability in content creation including graphic design (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator), video editing, photography, and proofreading.
- Knowledge of SEO strategies, keyword research techniques, Google Analytics insights, and web analytics tools for data-driven decision-making.
- Experience managing Facebook Advertising campaigns or other digital advertising platforms is advantageous.
- Familiarity with public relations practices within regulated industries; excellent relationship management skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
