The Challenge

Amdocs ($5B revenue) powers telecom operators globally. You'll own the data backbone for their biggest business unit-turning massive subscriber datasets into insights that shape product strategy and customer outcomes.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Master the existing data pipeline, data models, and current dashboard suite; identify 3-5 optimization opportunities

Deliver 5-8 ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders; establish yourself as the go-to analyst for marketing and operations

3

Build 2-3 new dashboards in PowerBI/Tableau solving current blind spots in customer behavior or operational metrics

4

Develop fluency with the telco business model and Amdocs' customer base; complete onboarding for Linux and SQL frameworks

By 6 Months
1

Own end-to-end reporting for 2-3 key business metrics; demonstrate 15%+ improvement in pipeline efficiency or dashboard load times

Lead 3-5 customer-facing presentations delivering insights that directly influence their strategic decisions

Architect and deploy a Big Data (Hive/Hadoop) model processing 10M+ subscriber records; reduce query time by 25%+

Mentor junior analysts; codify best practices in data validation, model documentation, and SQL optimization

All production dashboards must run on schedule with <0.1% data discrepancies month-over-month.

Ad-Hoc Analysis Turnaround

Average time-to-insight for stakeholder requests, targeting 48-72 hours for standard analyses.

Pipeline Performance

Data ingestion latency and query efficiency; track regressions and optimization wins quarterly.

Stakeholder Impact

Track how many analyses directly influence business decisions (measured via feedback and follow-up actions).
