What you'll do
Accountabilities:
Lead and expand education and community partnership programs with colleges, universities, workforce development organizations, and local stakeholders to support long-term engagement initiatives.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with educators, civic leaders, community groups, and public officials across active and emerging markets.
Represent the organization at industry events, educational forums, and community engagements while serving as a visible external ambassador.
Develop and execute strategic communications initiatives including media outreach, press releases, executive messaging, and thought leadership content.
Manage proactive and reactive media relations, including journalist outreach, media inquiries, and communications tracking.
Oversee social media strategy and execution, ensuring brand consistency, audience engagement, and performance-driven content planning.
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across marketing, operations, public affairs, HR, development, and legal to align communications with broader business goals.
Produce compelling written content such as blogs, articles, award submissions, executive communications, and sustainability-related storytelling.
Monitor communications performance, industry trends, and competitive activity to inform future messaging and engagement strategies.
Support workforce development initiatives by connecting education partnerships to hiring pipelines and career awareness programs.
Requirements:
10+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, marketing, stakeholder engagement, or related fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Education, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
Demonstrated success leading integrated communications programs and community engagement initiatives at a senior level.
Strong experience developing partnerships with educational institutions, civic organizations, and workforce development programs.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across press releases, executive messaging, social media, and thought leadership content.
Proven experience managing media relations, proactive outreach campaigns, and press communications.
Strong understanding of social media strategy, audience engagement, and analytics-driven content optimization.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Experience within infrastructure, real estate, construction, energy, or data center-related industries is highly preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-30% as needed.
