Product Marketing Engineer
is responsible for developing content to effectively communicate ABEC product features and benefits to the biotech manufacturing industry. This role will be cross Business Unit but reporting to the Product Director for the CSR BU. The candidate will leverage knowledge of ABEC products, customer applications, and ABEC competitors to develop product marketing content that clearly and effectively demonstrates ABEC value and differentiation. The Product Marketing Engineer will work closely with Applications and Sales to support growth in top line revenue and gross margin, and with Product Management to inform product development. The content that they develop will be used in social media, customer presentations, white papers, press releases, and all marketing output.Responsibilities
- Create effective product marketing content, including product presentations, white papers, conference presentations, website content and scientific publications. Team with ABEC technical functions including Engineering, Design, Automation, and Product to produce the appropriate technical content.
- Team with Product and Marketing to document and effectively communicate ABEC design standards and general Product updates to project functions.
- Develop technical tools for Sales and Applications.
- Competitor Analysis β Systematically gather, document, and report competitor capabilities and activity, as well as ABEC product differentiation versus competitors.
- Support Sales and Applications as a technical resource and presenting ABEC products to customers.
- Develop and deliver product training to Sales and Applications.
- Evaluate and report ABEC product performance via market share.
- Position will support all ABEC Business Units, including Stainless Steel & Hybrid equipment, CSR, and Service. Position will also support demonstrating broader ABEC knowledge leadership in functional areas such as project management, quality, manufacturing, and safety.
- Duties will also include general engineering support for other functional groups such as Project Engineering, Applications, and Product Development.
- Execute other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Will play an active role in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunity.
- BS Degree in Engineering or Science.
- Minimum 2-5 years Engineering experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in Technical Sales or Marketing.
- Demonstrated strong communications skills.
- Strong personal initiative, high creativity, and significant attention to detail.
- Biotech manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Awareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) a plus.
- Prior Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus.
