Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've built and scaled customer success or marketing operations teams; you live for hiring, developing, and coaching talent
  • You're process-obsessed: you build playbooks, SLAs, and QA systems that actually stick and scale
  • You balance strategy with execution; you can zoom in on compliance details and zoom out to identify revenue opportunities
  • You have hospitality or restaurant industry experience (nice-to-have but valuable perspective)
  • You embrace AI and new tools as a way to empower your team and do more with less
Won't Work If
  • You prefer individual contributor roles or find team management draining rather than energizing
  • You're uncomfortable with process documentation, QA oversight, or having hard conversations about performance
  • You lack 8+ years in customer success/marketing or 2+ years managing teams-this is not an entry-level leadership role

Interview Process

1

Recruiter screen

Background on Toast, role overview, and leadership philosophy discussion

2

Hiring manager interview

Deep dive on team leadership experience, process building, and customer success metrics

3

Peer/team panel

Meet with cross-functional stakeholders (likely Product, Sales, or other CS leaders)

4

Executive round

Strategy conversation with director or VP-level stakeholder on vision and scaling
