The Challenge
TikTok's Marketing & Consultancy Procurement team manages multi-million dollar annual spends across media, creative, research, and events. You'll own market research category strategy, negotiating with Nielsen and Kantar while optimizing sourcing for regional and global marketing teams.
Your Mission
Map current market research supplier landscape and identify cost optimization opportunities across Nielsen, Kantar, and competing vendors
Develop sourcing strategy and RFP framework for market research category with clear negotiation playbook
Consolidate first three months of purchase requests and establish baseline P2P process metrics (cycle time, approval rates)
Build relationships with regional marketing stakeholders and document their market research needs by sub-category
Execute major contract negotiations with 2-3 tier-1 market research suppliers, targeting 15-25% cost savings
Implement supplier management dashboard tracking vendor performance, SLAs, and cost vs. budget variance
Streamline P2P workflow (purchase request to PO) reducing cycle time by 30% and reducing maverick spend
Lead cross-functional project with global procurement on market research category best practices and shared service model

Is This Role For You?
- You have 5+ years of hands-on marketing procurement experience (media, creative, research, events)
- You've negotiated complex contracts with enterprise research vendors and understand their pricing models
- You're data-driven and can model savings, analyze RFQ bids, and track KPIs obsessively
- You thrive in fast-paced environments, own problems end-to-end, and influence peers without authority
- You lack direct experience in marketing/agency procurement (supply chain or IT procurement won't translate)
- You prefer hands-off strategic work; this role is operationally intensive with heavy P2P process ownership
- You struggle with ambiguity; TikTok moves fast and you'll need to make decisions with imperfect information
