The Challenge

Shopee is scaling social commerce in Brazil and needs a growth strategist to own the entire expansion playbook. You'll drive adoption, monetization, and user engagement across live shopping—a category exploding across Latin America.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Map current Social Commerce funnel metrics and identify top 3 growth levers (adoption, frequency, AOV)

Launch 2-3 targeted CRM campaigns for B2B seller activation and B2C buyer engagement

Establish weekly growth dashboard tracking KPIs: live session volume, conversion rate, repeat participation

4

Audit livestream UX/workflow and document 5+ optimization opportunities with impact estimates

By 6 Months
1

Achieve 40%+ QoQ growth in active Social Commerce users through coordinated marketing + product initiatives

2

Develop and test 2 new seller acquisition motions (vertical/category focus or incentive models)

3

Scale B2B lives to [target]: establish seller cohort program + training content to drive participation

4

Build predictive model identifying high-LTV social commerce cohorts for targeted retention campaigns

Live Session Volume (Weekly/Monthly)

Total number of active livestreams across B2B and B2C, tracking growth rate and seller participation.

Conversion Rate (Live → Purchase)

Percentage of viewers converting to buyers during or immediately after livestream events.

Repeat Participation Rate

% of users returning for 2+ social commerce sessions within 30 days; core retention metric.

GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) from Social Commerce

Total revenue attributed to livestream channel; direct business impact measure.

Seller Activation & Retention

% of onboarded sellers hosting 3+ lives; % remaining active 60+ days post-onboarding.
