The Challenge

Netflix's Marketing Partnerships team is scaling fast, and they need someone to build the operational backbone that lets creative partnerships drive revenue at scale. You'll own the workflows, reporting, and cadence that turn strategy into execution across a global, cross-functional org.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Map current operational pain points across Marketing Partnerships workflows and deliver 3 quick wins that reduce friction in deal tracking or approval cycles

2

Build and socialize the Q1-Q2 operating rhythm: define meeting cadence, OKR reporting structure, and communication cadence for leadership

3

Establish baseline reporting dashboard in Airtable/Sheets tracking partner deals, budget burn, and key metrics across the team

4

Conduct stakeholder mapping interviews with Partnerships, Ads, Finance, and Creative teams to surface top 5 cross-functional blockers

By 6 Months
1

Own annual planning process: work with Finance to build budget model, track spend against plan, and create visibility into resource allocation by partner/campaign type

2

Design and launch 2-3 high-impact cross-functional projects (e.g., partner onboarding process redesign, reporting automation) with clear timelines and accountability

3

Build repeatable OKR management cadence: quarterly reviews, mid-cycle check-ins, and exec-ready dashboards that surface progress and risks in real-time

4

Establish storytelling artifacts for leadership: monthly business reviews, quarterly all-hands updates, and ad-hoc exec presentations that translate ops data into narrative

KPIs You'll Own

Deal Cycle Time

Reduce average days from partner pitch to contract execution by streamlining workflows.

Budget Variance

Track actual spend vs. plan by partner/campaign; aim for <5% variance month-over-month.

Percentage of team OKRs achieved on schedule; measure leadership alignment and execution velocity.

Stakeholder Satisfaction

Qualitative feedback from cross-functional partners on workflow improvements and communication clarity.

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've spent 6+ years in Business Operations, Marketing Strategy, or Program Management roles—especially in Marketing or Entertainment
  • You love turning messy cross-functional chaos into clear workflows, dashboards, and decision-making cadences
  • You're fluent in Airtable, Sheets, and scrappy automation; you see operational tools as a competitive advantage
  • You can influence without authority: you'll work across Partnerships, Ads, Creative, and Finance teams who don't report to you
  • You thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and can ship iterative improvements without waiting for perfect information
Won't Work If
  • You need remote flexibility or work-from-home options; this is on-site LA only
  • You prefer individual contributor roles or hands-off management; this is operationally hands-on and cross-functionally visible
  • You're uncomfortable with Netflix's direct feedback culture or need consensus before moving forward

Interview Process

1

Phone screen

Hiring manager screen on your ops background, cross-functional experience, and familiarity with tools like Airtable/Sheets

2

Case study / take-home

Small operational redesign exercise (e.g., diagram a workflow, build a simple dashboard spec, or prioritize initiatives)

3

On-site interviews

4-5 rounds with Commercial Operations leadership, Partnerships stakeholders, and peer Business Ops leaders; expect culture questions

4

Reference checks

Netflix will call previous managers and cross-functional partners to validate your influence and execution track record
