The Challenge

Multiply is a 13-person AI startup fixing the decay problem in paid advertising. As Head of Growth, you'll build their entire growth engine from scratch-using their own product to prove it works, then expanding into entirely new channels most founders ignore.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Launch and scale paid acquisition campaigns using Multiply's platform; establish baseline metrics (CAC, conversion rate, ROAS) and identify creative/messaging winners

Map out 3-5 unconventional B2B growth channels beyond paid ads (communities, content, influencer partnerships, integrations) and run initial experiments

Build repeatable process for rapid testing: hypothesis → creative → launch → analysis → scale/kill decision cycle

Establish relationships with 10+ relevant industry creators, influencers, or distribution partners for potential collaboration

By 6 Months
1

Scale paid acquisition to predictable, repeatable unit economics; hit target CAC and demonstrate path to profitability

Launch and prove out 2 new high-leverage distribution channels beyond paid ads with measurable pipeline contribution

Build content/thought leadership engine: establish Multiply as voice in B2B ads/AI space; track engagement and lead attribution

Create internal growth playbooks and systems that can be executed by 2-3 team members without your day-to-day involvement

CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)

Track cost per acquired customer across all channels; must trend toward unit economics that support unit margin

MRR Growth Rate

Month-over-month revenue growth; primary north star for a seed/growth stage startup

Pipeline Generated by Channel

Qualified pipeline contribution from paid ads, content, partnerships, and new channels; identifies what actually converts

Campaign ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)

Revenue generated per dollar spent on paid ads; proves Multiply's product works in real-world use

Experiment Velocity

Number of new growth tests launched per week/month; measures how fast you're learning and iterating

  • You've built 2+ growth channels from zero to meaningful revenue scale (not just managed existing ones)
  • You're analytically rigorous AND creatively restless-you can run a paid campaign and also brainstorm wild distribution ideas in the same day
  • You move from idea to launch in days, not weeks; you bias toward testing over planning
  • You want VP-level autonomy and equity upside; you're comfortable being employee #14 at a company that could be huge
Won't Work If
  • You need remote flexibility; this is in-person only in San Francisco
  • You've only managed paid ads in large corporate settings with mature budgets and slow approval cycles; you need the scrappy early-stage pace
  • You need a fully assembled growth team; you'll be building the team and processes from scratch
