What you'll do

Accountabilities:

  • Build a comprehensive opportunity map by conducting customer and stakeholder interviews, researching market trends, assessing competitors, and identifying shifts across AI, workforce development, skills, learning technology, and adjacent markets.

  • Prioritize 3-5 high-potential opportunities based on customer needs, market evidence, business potential, differentiation, and organizational capabilities.

  • Develop prototypes and concepts to test emerging ideas quickly and gather meaningful customer feedback.

  • Lead customer experiments using interviews, prototypes, data, and other appropriate validation methods to determine whether opportunities are worth pursuing.

  • Evaluate opportunities across customer value, market potential, feasibility, differentiation, business models, pricing, packaging, partnerships, and distribution.

  • Make evidence-based recommendations on which initiatives to advance, adapt, or stop, ensuring resources are focused on the strongest opportunities.

  • Build strategic roadmaps that define customer problems, business hypotheses, strategic rationale, success measures, experiments, and investment requirements.

  • Launch or support cross-functional initiatives emerging from validated opportunities and help move them from concept through market testing.

  • Develop positioning, pricing, packaging, partnership, and go-to-market recommendations for initiatives approaching commercial validation.

  • Use AI extensively to accelerate research, analysis, prototyping, experimentation, and decision-making across the product strategy lifecycle.

  • Work collaboratively across functions and build alignment around new opportunities, ensuring strategic ideas translate into measurable business outcomes.

  • Demonstrate strong ownership, curiosity, follow-through, and comfort operating without a rigid checklist in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in product management, product strategy, growth, business development, innovation, or a related role where you have identified and developed new sources of customer or business value.

  • Demonstrated examples of building systems, driving cross-functional alignment, and delivering measurable impact at scale.

  • Strong customer discovery and research capabilities, with the ability to uncover unmet needs and translate qualitative insights into actionable opportunities.

  • Strong analytical and commercial judgment, including the ability to combine market intelligence, customer evidence, quantitative data, and business considerations to make decisions.

  • Experience evaluating or launching new products, offerings, partnerships, business models, or growth initiatives.

  • Ability to rapidly prototype concepts and design experiments that efficiently test important assumptions.

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate market and technology shifts while identifying areas where an organization can credibly compete and win.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build alignment around ambiguous or emerging opportunities.

  • Comfortable working autonomously in a high-growth, performance-driven environment with a strong bias toward experimentation and execution.

  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn, with a track record of turning ideas into tangible results.

  • Strong interest in using AI as a practical productivity and strategy tool, including for research, analysis, prototyping, and experimentation.

  • Ability to work across the United States or Canada and travel for company-wide events, with up to 15 days of travel per year.

  • Compensation: On-target earnings of $160,000-$180,000 per year, including base salary and performance-based variable compensation.
