The Challenge

Hyphen Connect is building an AI-powered crypto search engine that'll reshape how millions discover on-chain data. You'll architect the entire user acquisition playbook from zero to scaled, owning both performance marketing spend and organic growth hacking in a category with massive upside.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Define and validate your core growth channels (paid, organic, referral, community) with initial CAC/LTV benchmarks for the crypto audience

2

Launch 2-3 high-impact growth experiments (referral mechanics, SEO content pillars, partnership channels) with clear success metrics

Build out the growth stack infrastructure: analytics pipeline, marketing automation, attribution model to support scaling decisions

4

Establish baseline product-market fit signals and messaging positioning that resonates with Web3 users

By 6 Months
1

Achieve 50K+ activated users with sub-$X CAC and LTV:CAC ratio of 3:1+, proving repeatable unit economics

2

Scale top 2-3 performing channels to 10-15% MoM growth rate, with documented playbooks for expansion

3

Launch viral/community-driven growth mechanics (referral, ambassador program, DAO partnerships) contributing 20%+ of new users

4

Close performance marketing partnerships with 3+ major crypto platforms or media, establishing brand presence in ecosystem

Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)

Track blended CAC across channels to ensure efficient, profitable unit economics in crypto market

Lifetime Value (LTV) & LTV:CAC Ratio

Measure user retention, monetization, and sustainability; target 3:1+ LTV:CAC minimum

Monthly Active Users (MAU) & Growth Rate

Core north star; target consistent 10-20% MoM growth with cohort retention tracking

Channel-Level ROAS & Attribution

Measure return on ad spend and organic contribution by source to optimize budget allocation

Onboarding Conversion Rate & Time-to-First-Action

Track drop-off and friction in signup/first search to identify product-growth collaboration opportunities

  • You've scaled B2C user acquisition in fintech, crypto, or AI-with proven CAC/LTV discipline across 5+ years
  • You thrive owning the entire growth stack: paid channels, organic, viral mechanics, and product collaboration all at once
  • You're deeply embedded in the crypto/Web3 ecosystem and understand user behavior, pain points, and distribution channels
  • You can analyze complex data, run fast experiments, and pivot based on results without needing hand-holding
  • You want equity upside and the autonomy to build a growth function from scratch at a high-potential startup
Won't Work If
  • You need enterprise sales cycles, long ramp-ups, or a huge existing team-this is scrappy VP-level ownership
  • You're not bullish on crypto/Web3 or don't understand the regulatory and market dynamics-you'll struggle with credibility
  • You're a specialist in one channel (e.g., only paid ads or only SEO) and can't lead cross-functional growth hacking
  • You want guaranteed base salary with zero equity risk or prefer stability over explosive growth potential
