The Challenge
hyffen is a rapidly scaling SEO agency looking for a senior strategist to level up their methodology and mentorship. You'll architect frameworks, standardize processes, and unlock the potential of their consultant team—without getting bogged down in day-to-day delivery.
Your Mission
Audit and document current SEO methodologies; identify gaps and build first iteration of standardized templates for audits, recommendations, and roadmaps
Meet and align with full consultant team; establish mentor relationship and understand active client engagements
Design 2-3 SEO frameworks tailored to hyffen's core service offerings; validate with team feedback
Create first batch of clear, actionable SOPs for high-complexity SEO topics; train one consultant cohort on new processes
Establish hyffen's differentiated SEO methodology framework; ensure 90%+ adoption across team
Build comprehensive SOP library covering audit, strategy, execution, and reporting; measure consultant confidence and speed gains
Lead quarterly methodology reviews and evolution; identify at least 2 areas for process improvement based on client feedback
Develop and deliver advanced training curriculum for junior and mid-level consultants; track skill progression metrics

% of team consistently using standardized frameworks and SOPs in client projects within 6 months.
Project Delivery Speed
Time to complete audit, recommendations, and roadmap deliverables; track improvement quarter-over-quarter.
Consultant Confidence Score
Quarterly internal survey on clarity and usability of SEO standards; target 8+/10 average.
Client Satisfaction on Strategy Quality
Client feedback specifically on SEO strategy relevance and innovation; track via project retrospectives.

Is This Role For You?
- You've spent 7+ years doing hands-on SEO in agencies or in-house and are ready to scale impact through systems and mentorship
- You can simplify complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable playbooks without dumbing them down
- You're equally comfortable architecting strategy and supporting individual consultants; you don't need to be in the trenches every day
- You're fluent in French and comfortable with English; you work well with diverse, geographically distributed teams
- You need a hands-on execution role or client-facing delivery; this is strategy and enablement only
- You're not interested in documentation, process design, or teaching; this role is 40%+ methodology work
- You can't commit to 100% remote work from France metro or attend monthly Paris meetups
- You need immediate high salary or equity upside; this is a stable cadre role with modest benefits

Case Study / Work Sample
Likely walk through a past SEO framework, audit template, or methodology you've built; or design a simple framework during the conversation

Meet with senior consultants and/or team leads to assess fit, mentoring style, and ability to influence without authority
Leadership Alignment
Final conversation with agency founders/COO on vision for SEO standards, growth roadmap, and expectations
