The Challenge
Growth Room is doubling YoY and needs a Senior SEO Consultant to scale their growth marketing practice. You'll own client relationships across startups to CAC40 groups while building and mentoring the SEO team—reporting directly to leadership on strategic hiring and direction.
Your Mission
Complete full technical, semantic, and competitive SEO audits for 3-4 assigned clients and deliver actionable roadmaps
Establish repeatable SEO project management processes and KPI tracking frameworks across your portfolio
Identify and onboard 2-3 high-performing freelance content creators for optimized article production
Shadow and document the team's netlinking campaigns to master Growth Room's link-building methodology
Grow client portfolio to 5-7 active accounts with average 15-20% organic traffic growth quarter-over-quarter
Lead recruitment and onboarding of 2 junior SEO consultants; establish mentorship structure and skill assessments
Influence strategic hiring decisions for the SEO pole with CEO/COO; present quarterly performance reviews and expansion recommendations
Develop and deliver Growth Marketing training curriculum to help team members become domain experts

Client Organic Traffic Growth
Average monthly organic traffic increase across your portfolio, targeting 15-20% QoQ growth per client
Project Delivery & Timeline Adherence
Percentage of SEO audits, strategies, and recommendations delivered on schedule with zero scope creep
Client Retention & NPS
12-month client retention rate and Net Promoter Score reflecting relationship quality and strategic value delivery
Portfolio Utilization
Billable hours and revenue generated from assigned accounts; target 80%+ utilization excluding admin/hiring time
Team Hiring Success
Quality of junior hires recruited; measured by 6-month performance ratings and retention of new team members

Case study / Work sample
Review of past SEO audit, strategy deck, or campaign results to assess strategic thinking and communication
Technical SEO deep-dive
Conversation with Maxime (Lead SEO) on specific SEO methodologies, tool expertise, and client management approach
Leadership conversation
Final round with CEO/COO to discuss strategic priorities, hiring philosophy, and long-term vision for the SEO pole
