The Challenge

Groupe Figaro is building its customer data backbone—a unified CDP to orchestrate campaigns across its premium media portfolio. You'll own the data strategy and campaign automation that drives lifetime value for prospects across Madame Figaro, Le Figaro, and beyond.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Launch weekly campaign cycles with proper segmentation, tracking KPIs (open rate, conversion, revenue impact)

Map current data silos across business units and identify quick-win integration opportunities

Get hands-on with Selligent platform: build 2-3 test email workflows with A/B segments

Document business requirements for the CDP implementation from stakeholder interviews

By 6 Months

Deliver the CDP foundation: customer ID unification logic live across at least 2 data sources

Own data quality—audit and fix segmentation mismatches (matching rates) across the platform

Build 5+ scalable campaign scenarios in the CDP with documented performance baseline

Present data synergy roadmap: consolidate overlapping customer bases and unlock cross-sell opportunities

Weekly Campaign Performance

Track open rate, click rate, conversion rate, and revenue attributed per campaign segment.

Data Quality Score

Percentage of customer records with complete, validated attributes needed for segmentation.

CDP Adoption Rate

Percentage of business units actively using the new CDP for campaign orchestration.

Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)

Average revenue per segmented cohort over 12 months; measure improvement post-CDP launch.

Opt-in Conversion Rate

Track improvement in the journey from prospect to confirmed email subscriber.

  • You're obsessed with data quality and enjoy the detective work of finding mismatches, inconsistencies, and synergies in messy customer databases.
  • You can juggle ambiguity: CDP projects move fast, requirements shift, and you thrive in that dynamic.

  • You expect a pure marketing creative role—this is 60% operations, data work, and project management; copywriting is secondary.
  • You're uncomfortable with Excel, SQL basics, or technical documentation; data literacy is non-negotiable.
  • You need a stable 9-to-5 with no learning curve; CDP implementations and legacy data systems are inherently messy.

Interview Process

CRM Marketing Manager Interview

30–45 min: Deep dive into past campaign work, data thinking, questions about CDP/email platforms, problem-solving scenario (e.g., 'You notice email open rates dropped 20%—how do you debug?').

Data/Technical Stakeholder Chat

20–30 min: Assess comfort with technical concepts, Selligent platform familiarity, and ability to translate between marketing and engineering teams.

Final Round (Department Head + Hiring Manager)

30 min: Culture fit, project ownership mindset, and discussion of first 90 days.
