The Challenge
Garena is a global gaming giant (130+ markets, 5.4M concurrent esports viewers) looking for a growth marketer to own high-impact projects with full autonomy. You'll drive strategy, execution, and ROI for a studio that treats games as social platforms.
Your Mission
Deep-dive into one major growth initiative: scope it, build hypothesis, validate with data, present ROI case to leadership
Map player segments and behaviors in assigned game title; identify 2-3 untapped acquisition or retention levers
Establish baseline performance metrics and dashboards for assigned project portfolio (CAC, LTV, engagement, conversion funnels)
Build cross-functional relationships with product, operations, and esports teams; prove you can coordinate and lead without authority
Launch and optimize 2-3 growth experiments end-to-end (A/B tests, audience targeting, content campaigns); demonstrate measurable ROI
Reduce cost-per-install or improve lifetime value by 15-25% through hypothesis-driven optimization cycles
Own quarterly business review: present project outcomes, learnings, and roadmap to Marketing Lead and stakeholders
Mentor 1-2 junior team members or interns on growth frameworks and project execution methodology
KPIs You'll Own
Cost Per Install (CPI) or Cost Per Acquisition (CPA)
Track efficiency of player acquisition across channels; target month-over-month improvement via optimization.
Player Lifetime Value (LTV)
Measure long-term monetization per player cohort; tie to retention and engagement initiatives.
Project ROI
Calculate return on marketing spend for each growth initiative; use to prioritize future resource allocation.
Day 1 / Day 7 / Day 30 Retention
Monitor player stickiness cohort-over-cohort; identify engagement gaps and content opportunities.
Campaign Conversion Rate
Track funnel performance for paid campaigns, creative tests, and organic pushes.

- You're fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken), with strong Excel and data analysis fundamentals
- You want rapid growth: 3-6 years experience in marketing/growth, or transferable success from MBB/PE/startup high-growth environments
- You're comfortable with AI tools and modern workflows; you see AI as a productivity multiplier, not a threat
- You're not a gamer or don't care about gaming culture; this role requires genuine passion and player empathy
- You need remote flexibility; this is hybrid/on-site in São Paulo with no negotiation
- You're not fluent in Portuguese or prefer English-only environments; client/stakeholder communication is in Portuguese
- You prefer predictable, process-heavy roles; this thrives on ambiguity, iteration, and rapid pivots
