The Challenge
Fanatics Collectibles is reimagining fan engagement at the intersection of sports, culture, and commerce—with 90M+ fans and exclusive MLB/NFL/NBA rights. You'll be the growth analyst who turns data into automated marketing engines that drive GMV and retention at scale.
Your Mission
Build and deploy 2-3 marketing automation workflows (spend X get Y, voucher giveaways) that increase campaign efficiency by 30%+
Create live dashboards tracking promotion performance, CAC, AOV, and retention KPIs across Fanatics Live and Collect marketplace
Audit existing data pipelines and identify automation gaps in customer engagement and seller growth workflows
Deliver weekly growth insights to marketing and commercial teams with actionable recommendations
Launch clipping platform and voucher attribution tools that enable self-serve seller growth and increase seller adoption by 40%+
Own end-to-end analytics for 3+ major campaigns (seasonal drops, athlete launches, live commerce events), optimizing performance week-over-week
Build predictive models for customer churn and high-value buyer identification to inform retention automations
Scale marketing automation to cover 5+ use cases, reducing manual campaign setup time by 60%

Campaign ROI
Measure return on investment for promotion automations, spend X get Y offers, and voucher campaigns.
Customer Retention Rate
Monitor repeat purchase frequency and lifetime value across cohorts exposed to engagement automations.
Seller Adoption
Track uptake and usage of clipping platform and voucher attribution tools by merchants on the network.
CAC Payback Period
Measure how quickly customer acquisition cost is recouped through repeat purchases and retention.

Is This Role For You?
- You're fluent in SQL/Python and can build automations without hand-holding from engineers
- You obsess over metrics—you live in dashboards and can spot trends before they're obvious
- You've worked on e-commerce, marketplace, or direct-to-consumer growth (bonus: fan/sports/collectibles verticals)
- You're eager to ship fast: you'd rather launch a 70% solution and iterate than perfect-plan for 6 months
- You thrive in ambiguity and can translate vague business asks into concrete data requirements
- You need someone else to write your SQL/automation code for you—this role requires self-sufficiency in data tooling
- You prefer deep specialization in one channel (paid social, email, etc.) over end-to-end growth analysis
- You're averse to on-site work or uncomfortable with Paris as your base
- You need a predictable 9-to-5; growth roles at Fanatics move fast and require flexibility during campaign launches
Interview Process
Phone Screen
Hiring manager vets your growth mindset, SQL/Python chops, and experience with marketing automation or e-commerce analytics.
Technical Case Study
You'll analyze a sample dataset (e.g., promotion performance, cohort retention) and recommend automations or optimizations. Expect SQL queries and dashboard design discussion.
Team Interview
Conversation with data/tech and marketing stakeholders about how you'd approach building the clipping platform and voucher tools.
Leadership Round
Chat with VP Marketing or Head of Growth on growth strategy, scalability, and how analytics will drive GMV targets.
