The Challenge

EXL's Banking and Capital Markets practice needs a technical leader to architect Salesforce-powered marketing solutions for a major fintech client. You'll drive customer journey optimization while managing a team and directly influencing revenue growth across enterprise engagements.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Map current marketing tech stack and identify gaps; establish roadmap for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advanced implementation

Lead discovery workshops with client stakeholders to define B2B use cases around customer journey optimization and segmentation

3

Mentor your 5+ person team on Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce capabilities; establish coding/design standards

4

Deliver first integrated campaign using Marketing Cloud Advanced with measurable baseline KPIs for subsequent iterations

By 6 Months
1

Execute 3+ customer segmentation strategies with documented lift in campaign engagement rates (target: 15%+ improvement)

Build and deploy marketing automation framework across customer journey touchpoints; measure time-to-value reduction

3

Lead Data Cloud (Data 360) implementation to unify customer data across internal and client systems

4

Expand team capability through training; develop at least 2 consultants into independent solution designers

Measure engagement, conversion, and ROI improvement for segmented campaigns vs. baseline.

Solution Deployment Timeline

Track time from requirements to production deployment; target 20% reduction quarter-over-quarter.

Team Utilization & Billability

Ensure 80%+ billable utilization across your team while maintaining code quality and mentorship.

Client Satisfaction & Expansion

Measure NPS and identify upsell opportunities; target 1-2 new use case engagements per quarter.

Data Integration Coverage

Percentage of customer data unified in Data Cloud; target 90%+ completeness for segmentation accuracy.
