The Challenge
Darkroom is a fastest-growing performance agency (Inc. 5000) that's engineered billions in attributable revenue for consumer brands. You'll lead strategy and execution across omni-channel paid campaigns for a portfolio of high-growth DTC brands, managing accounts up to $1M+/month while acting as both strategic advisor and hands-on growth operator.
Your Mission
Audit and optimize the go-to-market strategy for 2-3 assigned client accounts, identifying inefficiencies across DTC, Amazon, and retail channels
Establish weekly strategic cadence with clients and internal Darkroom teams, defining core KPIs and attribution framework for each account
Launch or scale paid campaigns across primary channels (DTC, TikTok Shop, Amazon), targeting initial 15-20% efficiency gains within 90 days
Build and onboard your omni-channel team (paid media specialists, creative, analytics) with clear roles and accountability structure
Demonstrate 25%+ ROAS improvement or $5M+ in attributed revenue growth across your client portfolio
Master and implement Shadow (Darkroom's AI commerce layer) to enhance campaign performance and decision velocity
Scale one account's monthly ad spend from current baseline to $500K-$1M+ while maintaining or improving efficiency metrics
Develop repeatable DTC-to-Amazon/retail expansion playbook that becomes methodology for other Directors at Darkroom
KPIs You'll Own
ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
Track efficiency of paid media spend across all channels; target 3:1+ for mature accounts, 2:1+ for emerging brands.
Attributed Revenue
Monthly revenue directly tied to your growth strategy and paid campaigns, measured via Shadow and multi-touch attribution.
Monthly Ad Spend Scaling
Pace and profitability of scaling paid accounts upward; measure efficiency maintenance as volume increases.
Client Retention & Expansion
Retain 100% of assigned accounts; grow each account's annual contract value (ACV) through channel expansion or spend scaling.
Campaign Launch Velocity
Time from strategy to live campaign; benchmark 1-2 weeks for new channel experiments, 2-4 weeks for major initiatives.
