The Challenge

Clearwater Analytics needs a digital marketer to transform their website into a revenue-generating machine for institutional buyers (asset managers, insurers, banks). You'll own SEO, AEO, and conversion strategy in a regulated environment where trust and credibility drive deal flow-not just clicks.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current website architecture, messaging, and conversion paths; identify top 20 high-intent keywords and AEO opportunities aligned to buyer segments

2

Establish baseline KPI dashboard connecting website traffic → MQL → SQL → pipeline, with clear ownership and SLA handoffs to RevOps/Sales

3

Launch 2-3 high-impact on-page and technical SEO improvements targeting institutional buyer questions and use cases

4

Define and socialize website strategy roadmap with brand, product marketing, and content teams; secure alignment on messaging and compliance requirements

By 6 Months
1

Increase qualified inbound pipeline contribution by 25%+ through improved funnel conversion and lead quality scoring

2

Execute full AEO strategy ensuring visibility across AI-powered search and answer platforms; track performance and iterate

3

Build and scale a content strategy that prioritizes depth, authority, and trust; measure impact on organic rankings and revenue outcomes

4

Design and run 4+ experimentation campaigns (CTA optimization, landing page variants, conversion path changes); implement winners into production

KPIs You'll Own

Organic Pipeline Contribution

Revenue-attributed pipeline generated from SEO/organic channels as % of total inbound pipeline

Website-to-MQL Conversion Rate

Percentage of website visitors who convert to marketing-qualified leads with clear fit signals

AEO Visibility Score

Presence and ranking across AI-powered search platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview) for high-intent keywords

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've driven pipeline and revenue from websites in B2B SaaS or financial services-and you obsess over the numbers that prove it
  • You understand how institutional buyers research and evaluate enterprise software; you speak their language and know their concerns
  • You're hands-on with SEO, GA4, CMS platforms, and experimentation-you don't just brief others, you build and optimize
  • You thrive in complex, regulated environments where trust, accuracy, and compliance shape every decision
  • You operate strategically but can also move fast; you influence senior stakeholders with data and clear recommendations
Won't Work If
  • You're a brand marketer or demand-gen specialist who treats the website as a brochure, not a revenue channel
  • You lack hands-on SEO expertise or experience in regulated/trust-driven B2B environments
  • You prefer to work in isolation; this role requires tight collaboration with product marketing, brand, content, RevOps, and sales

Interview Process

1

Phone Screen

Initial conversation on digital marketing background, SEO expertise, and familiarity with financial services or regulated environments

2

Deep-Dive Case Study or Portfolio Review

Walk through a website/SEO project you owned; discuss metrics, results, and how you drove pipeline impact

3

Senior Leadership Interview

Conversation with VP/Head of Growth or CMO on strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and how you'd approach Clearwater's website and inbound strategy

4

Cross-Functional Panel

Meet with RevOps, Sales, Product Marketing, and/or Content leads to assess collaboration fit and understanding of buyer journey
