About Capsule Capsule is building the easiest way for families to preserve and interact with the stories, memories, voice, and wisdom of the people they love.

Our product uses AI interviews, voice, memory extraction, and interactive playback to help families create living digital capsules of parents, grandparents, spouses, mentors, and eventually themselves.

Think of it as the emotional side of 23andMe meets an AI biographer. Instead of leaving family stories trapped in books, recordings, photos, or fading memories, Capsule makes them interactive.

We are at the MVP stage and preparing to onboard our first meaningful wave of users. We are looking for a founding GTM operator who can help us find the first scalable wedge.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who wants real startup responsibility.

You will work directly with the founder to define Capsule’s early go-to-market strategy, test acquisition channels, refine messaging, improve conversion, and build the first version of our growth engine.

This is not a brand strategy role. This is not a content-only role. This is not an agency management role.

We need someone who can think clearly, execute quickly, write compelling copy, launch experiments, analyze results, and build systems that make growth repeatable.

The ideal person is part strategist, part performance marketer, part operator, and part customer psychologist.

What You’ll Do Develop and execute Capsule’s early go-to-market strategy.

Identify and prioritize our highest-intent customer segments, including adult children of aging parents, family archivists, grandparents, StoryWorth and Remento users, estate planners, senior living communities, genealogy communities, and other emotionally driven buyer groups.

  • Build and run acquisition experiments across paid ads, organic content, outbound, partnerships, influencer campaigns, referral loops, and community-driven marketing.

Create and test messaging around family legacy, voice preservation, gifting, memory capture, aging parents, and interactive storytelling.

Help build landing pages, funnels, onboarding flows, email sequences, retargeting campaigns, and conversion assets.

Own early growth metrics including customer acquisition cost, conversion rate, activation rate, paid conversion, retention signals, and referral behavior.

Interview users and synthesize customer feedback into sharper positioning, product improvements, and marketing angles.

  • Work with the founder and product team to remove friction from the user journey.

Build repeatable GTM systems that continue working beyond one-off campaigns.

Move fast, document what works, kill what does not, and help Capsule find its first scalable wedge.

What We’re Looking For You understand consumer growth, funnels, positioning, and conversion.

You can think from first principles about why a customer would care, trust, buy, share, or abandon a product.

You are comfortable operating in an early-stage startup where the job is not perfectly defined.

You have experience testing paid social, landing pages, email flows, creator campaigns, partnerships, outbound, or other growth channels.

You are a strong writer with sharp instincts for emotional messaging.

You are analytical enough to track experiments and interpret results without overcomplicating things.

You have high ownership, fast execution, low ego, and strong judgment.

You are comfortable using AI tools, no-code tools, automation, CRM systems, analytics tools, and scrappy workflows to move faster.

You can turn vague founder ideas into clear campaigns, workflows, and measurable tests.

Bonus Points

Experience marketing to families, seniors, caregivers, parents, estate planners, or emotionally driven consumer products.

Experience with StoryWorth, Remento, Ancestry, 23andMe, genealogy, legacy planning, senior care, memory preservation, or gifting products.

Experience building early-stage GTM from zero to one.

Experience with Meta ads, Google ads, TikTok, YouTube, influencer marketing, SEO, email marketing, or referral programs.

Experience with tools like HubSpot, Airtable, Webflow, Lovable, Zapier, Make, Apollo, Clay, GA4, Mixpanel, or similar systems.

Experience with AI products, voice AI, consumer subscription products, or marketplace-style growth.

You Might Be a Fit If You are obsessed with figuring out what actually makes people take action.

You can write a landing page in the morning, launch an ad test in the afternoon, and review conversion data the next day.

You do not need a perfect process to start making progress.

You are comfortable being measured by outcomes, not activity.

You understand that for Capsule, trust and emotion matter just as much as clicks and CAC.

You are excited by the idea of helping families capture stories before it is too late.

You are resourceful enough to move quickly without needing a large team, big budget, or fully mature product.

This Role Is Not For You If You only want to manage agencies.

You need a large team and mature brand infrastructure to be effective.

You prefer strategy decks over execution.

You are uncomfortable with ambiguity.

You do not like being close to customers, data, and product details.

You need every task handed to you in detail before taking action.

First 90 Days Your first job is to help Capsule find real market signal.

In the first 90 days, you will be expected to

  • Launch 5 to 10 GTM experiments.
  • Test multiple customer segments and messaging angles.
  • Build or improve landing pages, email flows, retargeting flows, and onboarding touchpoints.
  • Generate early paid conversions outside of the founder’s personal network.
  • Identify which customer segments show the strongest intent.

Create a weekly growth dashboard.

Recommend what Capsule should double down on, what should be killed, and what needs to change in the product or funnel.

The goal is not to create the illusion of progress. The goal is to find real demand and help build the earliest version of a repeatable growth machine.

Compensation

We are open to starting this as a 90 day contract-to-hire engagement.

Initial trial compensation

$6,000 to $9,000 per month, depending on experience, availability, and scope.

Potential full-time conversion

$100,000 to $130,000 base salary

0.25% to 0.75% equity, depending on experience and demonstrated impact

Potential milestone-based bonus for meaningful traction

Equity would be subject to standard vesting, company approval, and continued full-time employment.

For an exceptional candidate with a proven track record building early consumer growth, we are open to adjusting compensation and equity.
