What you'll do
As a
SEO Content Manager
at Torro Media, you will own SEO performance and outcomes for your client accounts. This role is responsible for driving strategy, translating it into execution, and ensuring work is aligned with real business goals — not just rankings or traffic.You will identify growth opportunities through data, search behavior, and competitive insights, and take action on them. You’ll work closely with internal teams to execute effectively, but you are ultimately responsible for moving accounts forward, solving problems, and delivering results.

Account Ownership and SEO Strategy
- Own, develop and execute SEO-driven content strategies and outcomes for client accounts
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitor analysis using tools such as Semrush and Ubersuggest
- Identify content gaps, topic clusters, competitive analysis, and authority-building opportunities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication and ongoing strategy
- Translate high-level SEO strategy into clear priorities, timelines, and execution plans
- Identify growth opportunities and proactively bring recommendations to clients and internal teams
- Connect SEO efforts to conversions, key events, and business outcomes — not just rankings or traffic
Content Creation & Optimization
- Develop and execute SEO-driven content strategies aligned to search intent and business goals
- Produce and oversee high-quality, SEO-optimized content including blog posts, landing pages, and pillar pages
- Lead content rewrites and new content initiatives to support ongoing growth and website builds
- Optimize on-page elements including metadata, headers, internal linking, URL structure, and content formatting
Technical SEO Integration
- Identify and address technical SEO issues surfaced through audits, coordinating with developers to implement fixes
- Provide recommendations for improving site architecture, including sitemap structure, navigation, and URL hierarchy
- Ensure content is properly structured for crawlability, indexing, and user experience
- Support implementation of schema markup, internal linking strategies, and site-wide SEO enhancements
- Leverage AI tools and automation to improve efficiency and scalability
Quality Assurance & Content Audits
- Monitor SEO performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools
- Analyze trends across rankings, traffic, and conversions to inform strategy
- Continuously refine approach based on performance data and insights
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve rankings, engagement, and conversions
Performance Analysis & Optimization
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, and internal dashboards
- Track KPIs including keyword rankings, organic traffic, impressions, and conversions
- Use data insights to continuously refine content strategy and optimization efforts
SEO Best Practices & Continuous Improvement
- Stay up to date with algorithm updates, search trends, and emerging SEO technologies
- Conduct content audits to identify outdated or underperforming assets and recommend improvements
- Continuously improve internal processes, frameworks, and how SEO is delivered across accounts
- Leverage AI tools and automation to improve content production efficiency and scalability
- Maintain a strong focus on local SEO, long-tail keyword opportunities, and search intent alignment
Team Collaboration & Client Communication
- Collaborate with internal teams (content, web, paid, etc.) to ensure SEO is integrated across all initiatives
- Proactively identify issues, gaps, or risks across accounts and take immediate action to resolve them
- Take ownership of problems: not just flag them, but drive them through to a solution
- Consistently look for ways to improve performance, processes, and client outcomes beyond the standard scope
- Bring ideas forward: new opportunities, optimizations, or strategic recommendations, without waiting to be asked
- Communicate proactively with clients, providing updates, insights, and next steps before they need to ask
- Do the extra work when it matters: acting in the best interest of the client and the business

Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of experience in SEO (agency experience strongly preferred)
- Proven experience owning SEO performance for client accounts or business units
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy
- Ability to translate SEO strategy into clear execution plans and priorities
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, and Ahrefs
- Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, HubSpot, and Shopify
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect SEO work to conversions and business outcomes
- Clear, confident communicator who can explain strategy to clients and internal teams
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities independently
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and technical SEO implementation
- Experience with SEO plugins such as Rank Math or Yoast
- Google Analytics or SEO certifications
- Experience contributing to website builds or migrations
- Familiarity with AI-driven search (AIO), content structuring, and LLM-friendly formatting
- Agency experience managing multiple client accounts
- Ability to quickly adopt new processes and technologies as the SEO and AI landscape evolves
