Digital Marketing Manager (Player-Coach: Hands-On Creative + Team Leadership)
We are partnering with a leading, well-established organization in the insurance space to hire a
Digital Marketing Manager
.This is a
high-impact, fully in-office role
for ahands-on creative leader
who actively produces work—not just directs it.If you primarily manage agencies or focus on strategy without executing design or production work yourself, this role is
not a fit
.Compensation
- $130,000 - $170,000 base salary (depending on experience)
- Full-time, permanent
- Fully in-office (no remote or hybrid)
What You’ll Do
Hands-On Creative Production (50-60% of role)
- Personally design and produce digital and print marketing assets daily
- Create videos, graphics, presentations, and collateral using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Own projects end-to-end: concept → design → production → final delivery
- Ensure all creative meets brand standards and business objectives
Digital Marketing Execution (20-30%)
- Manage and update website content via CMS (Sitecore or similar)
- Build and deploy email campaigns (Pardot or similar)
- Optimize user experience and digital performance across channels
Leadership & Team Management (20%)
- Lead and mentor a small internal creative/marketing team
- Act as a
working manager
(you will produce work alongside your team) - Manage timelines, priorities, and cross-functional stakeholders
Analytics & Optimization
- Track campaign performance using Salesforce and marketing tools
- Use data to refine creative, messaging, and campaign effectiveness
Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- 7-10+ years of experience in
hands-on creative + digital marketing roles
Advanced, daily-use expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud
(you must currently design/produce work yourself)- Strong
print AND digital production
experience - Experience with CMS platforms (Sitecore or similar)
- Email marketing platform experience (Pardot or similar)
- Salesforce or similar for campaign tracking
- Proven experience
managing a team while remaining hands-on
- Portfolio required (must include examples you personally created)
This Role Is NOT For:
- Pure people managers who do not execute creative work
- Strategists who rely on agencies or external designers
- Candidates without a current, hands-on design/production portfolio
