About the Role
We’re looking for a Creative Content Producer to own content creation and creative strategy across all of Kickoff’s channels. You’ll concept, produce, and ship content end-to-end—video, static, long-form, social, ads—while building the creative systems that lets a small team punch way above its weight.
This is a hands-on IC role where you’re the one making things in addition to managing and scaling processes. You’ll develop creative concepts, write and edit copy, direct UGC and video shoots, build content calendars, and maintain a high-velocity production pipeline. You’ll use AI tools aggressively to move faster and produce more than should be possible for one person. You’ll report directly to the Head of Growth.
We’re not looking for someone who talks about content strategy in the abstract. We want someone who ships great work, has strong creative taste, and can point to a body of work that proves it.
Responsibilities
Produce Content Across Formats
- Create high-performing content across video (UGC, reels, ads, testimonials), static (social posts, carousels, display), and written formats (blog, email, landing pages).
- Own the full production cycle: concepting, scripting, shooting/directing, editing, and publishing.
- Build and maintain content calendars that keep a consistent pipeline of fresh assets shipping weekly.
- Manage freelance editors, designers, and creators when needed—write briefs, give clear feedback, and hold quality standards.
Drive Creative Strategy
- Develop the creative direction for Kickoff’s brand across paid and organic channels.
- Build and maintain a structured creative testing framework for ads—know what’s working, why, and what to try next.
- Maintain a swipe file of best-in-class ads and content. Have a point of view on what makes creative perform.
- Repurpose and adapt content intelligently across platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, organic social, email).
Evaluate and Optimize Performance
- Analyze content and ad performance to understand what’s driving results and where to double down.
- Partner with the growth team on creative-to-conversion alignment—message-match between ads and landing pages, funnel drop-off analysis.
- Think quantitatively about content: cost to produce, performance per asset, and how to improve the ratio over time.
Leverage AI Across the Workflow
- Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, video generation tools, etc.) to accelerate ideation, copywriting, production, and analysis.
- Continuously experiment with new AI capabilities to improve output quality and speed.
What We're Looking For
Proven content production chops:
You have a portfolio of work you’ve made—ads, videos, social content, written pieces. You ship regularly and at quality. 2–4 years of hands-on content creation experience (creating and managing others creating).Strong creative taste and judgment:
You can look at an ad or piece of content and tell whether it’s good. You have opinions about copy, visuals, pacing, and messaging—and you can articulate why something works or doesn’t.Content repurposing instincts:
You think natively about how one piece of content becomes five across different platforms and formats.AI-native workflow:
You already use AI tools daily in your work and are constantly exploring new ones. This isn’t aspirational—it’s how you operate.Coachable and curious:
You actively seek feedback, learn quickly, and are always looking for a better way to do things. Strong opinions, loosely held.Data-informed mindset:
You don’t need to be a SQL wizard, but you think analytically about what’s working and let performance data guide creative decisions.Startup mindset:
Comfortable with ambiguity, scrappy testing, rapid iteration, and wearing multiple hats. You’re an owner.Mission-driven energy:
You care about health, wellness, and making preventative care accessible.In-person in NYC:
