What we’re looking for:
Colossal is seeking a Senior Manager, Social Media Strategy to lead the development, execution, and performance of organic social content across all Colossal campaigns. This role owns social content calendars, messaging frameworks, and campaign rollouts across all platforms, ensuring alignment with brand voice, campaign goals, and audience engagement objectives. Reporting to the CEO, this role leads the Social Media Managers and partners closely with Growth, Paid Media, Creative, and Community Engagement.
We're looking for someone who combines creativity with analytics, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows how to build systems, develop teams, and create content strategies that drive measurable business results.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Social Media Content team responsible for writing, publishing, and managing content across all Colossal competitions.
- Own social content calendars, messaging frameworks, and campaign rollouts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and emerging social platforms.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging organic social content that aligns with campaign goals and brand standards.
- Ensure consistency in brand voice across all outbound social content, captions, and community-facing messaging.
- Develop platform-specific content strategies that maximize audience growth, engagement, and campaign participation.
- Partner closely with Growth, Paid Media, Creative, Community Engagement, and Analytics teams to align messaging and maximize campaign performance.
- Monitor industry trends, platform updates, and competitive activity to continually optimize content performance.
- Oversee real-time content optimization based on performance, trends, and competitive activity
- Own reporting across all social channels, including reach, engagement, video performance, click-through rates, audience growth, and conversion metrics such as votes, donations, and registrations.
- Build dashboards and executive summaries that communicate campaign performance and actionable insights.
- Present regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to the CEO and leadership team.
- Develop scalable workflows for content planning, approvals, publishing, and performance optimization.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of writers, content managers, and platform specialists.

Success in this role means building a social media program that consistently delivers engaging content, strengthens the Colossal brand, and drives measurable campaign performance. The ideal candidate develops scalable systems, empowers their team to produce exceptional work, leverages data to improve results, and creates social experiences that inspire participation, grow communities, and increase votes, donations, and registrations across every competition.
Our ideal candidate:
- 6+ years of experience in social media strategy, content marketing, brand marketing, or digital media.
- Experience leading social media teams and managing multi-platform content strategies.
- Proven success developing organic social campaigns that drive audience growth and engagement.
- Strong understanding of content strategy, storytelling, and platform best practices across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
- Experience using performance data and analytics to guide content strategy and marketing decisions.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with a strong understanding of brand voice.
- Strong leadership, organization, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
